Just like the rest of us normal players, long pips also gets confused by long pips, and lefties get confused by lefties. The one who is less confused wins. I play long pips just occasionally. At a club level some players refuse to play against long pips, but don't mind losing to regular rubber. So i sometimes use hard rubber OX, kind of a compromise. Using different styles, including pen hold makes the game more interesting to me. Jack of all trades, master of none.

I play with shake hand long/medium pips and cpen short pips too. Both style has its own fun.

That's why I keep insisting MB to switch to how the top players play with complete reversed rubber back hand and forehand.

But with that she might only reach till top 15, if she want to come in top 5, she have to master LPs and set an Eg like Deng Yaping that LPs are not useless
