So glad I found you. My pace of improvement has increased 10 fold. I was having a difficult time tying strumming, transitions, and singing together. Other KZbin teachers could stand to learn from your method of breaking things down to simpleist form and then allowing us to add as our skillset improves.

Hi Vic!!! Thank you so much for your comment. It makes my teacher heart happy to hear that your skills have improved!!! I'm an elementary music teacher by day, so I teach on KZbin the way I teach my kids in the classroom. It's nice to hear your feedback because it's encouraging to continue this method of teaching 💗 Keep updating me on your progress. It's great to hear!

I feel that Bernadette is an excellent teacher. She was the first online tutor that I found . The way she breaks things down into small bits is useful indeed. After a few repetitions , I can play a recognizable tune, which is very pleasing. I am going to start one of her 30 day courses this week. I have also joined as a Patreon , as I am keen on the Ukulele bible she is preparing. Keep it up, Ms B . You are great!

Thanks, Bernadette! I've always used different fingering for D, so it's been a challenge relearning to do it with different fingers but it works better for transitioning between chords ... especially, now, that I know it's the same shape, just different fret.

I can't believe I am playing one of my favorite songs! That E chord is difficult for me and my fingers hurt, but I am making music!!! Thank you for your clear and patient instructions. My 11 year old son is hooked on watching your videos with me and wants his own ukulele! You inspired us 😃
@BernadetteTeachesMusic6 жыл бұрын
Hi Kimberly! 👋🏼 Welcome to the ukulele family and community!!! 🤗 you are going to LOVE IT here!!! Okay, so this version here is the one that sounds close to Bob Marley’s but here are two options to make it easier: Option 1 replace the E chord with an E7. E7 is easier than E. Or option 2: if you want a simpler version try this: Replace all the A chords with C chord Replace all the D chords with F chord Replace all the E chords with G7 chord So it would sound like this [C] Don’t worry, about a thing, cause [F] every little thing, is gonna be [C] alright Let me know if this makes sense. If not, I can film another version ;)

I love learning at my own pace and having the opportunity to view many different teachers and their style. I’m very comfortable w you bc you are so down to earth. There is a group of players in my area, but the teacher seems more involved w where her group will play next rather than teaching beginners, and you have to pay more for a four session beginners class that she gives separately. Her practice group is actually intermediate to long time players. I’m not there yet. But your tutorials allow me to build my proficiency slowly without developing bad habits. Thank you, God bless, and Merry Christmas.
