What a legend. My parents used to go to the embassy club in the 80s. I would always wave to Bernard when I saw him in his white American car. In 1980s Manchester this was a sight to behold and he ALWAYS waved back!

I must say i never found anything offensive about Bernard Manning he was just a really funny comedian. Obviously he couldnt do the racist stuff toaday but it wasnt really racist because he was equally discriminating towards absolutely all races (including himself, he often referred to himself as a fat bastard) and it was so obviously just cheeky comedy really.
