This is literally the most unstoppable sweep in jiu jitsu. I watched this purple belt middleweight win gold at pan ams yesterday using this sweep exclusively from a similar position. leonardo lara is his name

I`ve been doing this one for a number of years and came in to refine some details. you are correct in worrying about it - luckily, the lapel tensed around the leg is your safety fall back mechanism, or you can try hitting a sweep at that very moment, when they lift the leg to remove it (weight goes to ther butt). As in, imho, there is risk involved, but it`s necessary to get to the right angle.

Apparently, you didn't see Lyota get destroyed when he went into the the deep 1/2 last night. If you didn't, why don't YOU tell US how this sweep would work on the street? Make sure you have the guy on top hammerfist your face like a drum whilst you are trying to do all the lapel stuff. This is OBVIOUSLY and CLEARLY a SPORT JJ move. Period!

SurveyofFilmMusic Wrong. I do jiu jitsu but find the whole points for position game to be a joke. If you watch a bjj video with no claims to effectiveness on the street, then guess what.... It also won't work in kick boxing.
