Bernardo is the real deal. True story... He was training with me at MG when he was number 1 in the world. One day after class in the changing room Bernardo looks at me and say... "Osss Robert. You're pretty hard to submit for a hobby guy". I took it as a compliment. Lol

I had to rewatch this after seeing the Jordan and Chewy roll. It's so easy to forget how much of a monster Bernardo is because he's usually the practice dummy in his videos and he's always going "That's amazing!". Then you see him roll and it's like an anime transformation. He'd probably ragdoll most of his guests lol.

Need more of this content! It's nice to see how you think defensively, since it's not very often you are put into those positions. Maybe some training footage where you are utterly exhausted on fresh higher belts would recreate this type of material. Thank you Jordan!

I rolled with Bernardo at a seminar and it was simply amazing. Plus i watched him hit the same technique, omaplata, on about 15 guys he rolled with. Dude tapped everyone from blue belts to combative black belts who place in tournaments with it. I was amazed how good his cardio was. Plus, he is chill as fuck

You bet man, BJJ is so umpredictable in a levels you cannot comprehend, you can see here that Jordan becomes a blue belt due to Bernardo's level, same a the Gracies or the Machados.

What amazes me about videos like this is that you seem almost invincible in your rolling videos, then you go up against Bernardo. Bernardo seems almost invincible until you see him go up against Roger Gracie. So many levels to this sport and so much to learn. Being only about 6 months into the journey its mind blowing!

That was awesome to watch. Such a common battle but great to see the exchange at a high level. Really liked the shallow hook you were using to prevent him consolidating the mount. Bernardo is a steam roller, you did great here.

Great watching you roll with such a high level person! Listening to you narrate from the less dominant side really helps. I think being able to calmly talk yourself through tough positions is critical and not a skill I have yet, but Listening to you do it was great!

Somehow Bernardos career sliped under my radar, but just seeing from the clip that he fought and beat Leandro, Cyborg and other legends brings him soooo high to me now. Especially since i am following his channel and his demeanor is always down to earth with utmost respect to his guest that he is listening patiently and closely just shows how great of a guy he really is in life. This was an amazing video. I'm definitely saving this. There was so much to learn on both sides. Thank you for sharing this. Bernardo's passing is terrifying. Lol. But I really enjoyed your explanation of using the T-Rex arms to protect from the cross face. As a white belt, that it's definitely a hole I've been working on in my game to keep from getting crushed when I'm getting passed.

Thats the old school smashing pressure that a lot of competitors these days have scrapped for the flashier speed passes that arent nearly as effective. After 27 years I still smash or stack pass and make every second of it suck for you. This was awesome to see. Thanks for the content.

Gotta love Bernardo's pressure passing, Its cool to see the GOATS apply basic concepts of hip and head control in passing. Like Roger's pressure pass from top half with the head posted and arm pressuring the carotid, or Gordon's body lock passes with windshield wipers

that one really helped me scaling what the highest level of jjb look like. Comparing you jackichaning aournd a bunch of all level and size guys to the slow pace and tiny small details there is on that roll is really amazing.
