I think Danaher had the 2 finger thing in his gi chokes dvd but his reasoning was it gave your wrist more movement vs this video it making it hard to grip break

Yeah more movement in the wrist but also a more secure grip, it's hard to believe 2 fingers are stronger then 4 but I always encourage people not to believe me and to test it for themself

@@wizardwanny As a 1-stripe white belt, got taught the 2 finger grip at my gym by a purple belt who got taught it directly by Pedro Sauer a few years before that. Not that it matters where it came from, but sometimes it's fun to be able to trace the evolution of knowledge as it gets passed along. And on and on, the jiujitsu arms race continues... counters to buggy choke counters, etc etc. Maybe in a few days Pedro will come into the comments and say who taught him the 2-finger grip, haha. Who knows? Maybe he learned it from a guy who only had two fingers, but a grip that was hard to break, so he just decided not to alter it.
