You do if you look at Justice Democrats, who have exactly the right idea. Instead of despairing that the people running the country are corrupt, and never stand with the popular progressive policy proposals which have made Bernie, to their shock, wildly popular, we have to do something about it; take it over. So you run people who demonstrate a commitment to progressive values who are passionate about wanting to change Congress to do the will of voters, instead of wealthy corporate donors, and bring the progressive agenda most Americans want, into being. And they have to pledge not to take corporate money, as a prerequisite to joining. It's working: the squad are all Justice Dems, and they are exceeding expectations for shaking up Congress in a great way.

Call Medicare and ask to speak to a nurse (I don’t think they call them case managers, maybe care coordinators?). They should have resources for free or low cost insulin. 6. Call your doctor’s office and tell them you are struggling to get insulin and ask if they have a way to help you (free samples? Discounts etc) Please don’t go without insulin. I hope you check back and let us know if you were able to obtain insulin.

I've experienced ALL of this in my 61 years. I trained as a registered nurse, wanting to help people. Not long after starting my first job, I was told by my head nurse that backrubs instead of sleeping pills was a bad idea because "there's no markup on backrubs". I left nursing, demoralized by the greed & dysfunction of the system. After years of being home raising my child, I was unable to re-enter nursing. I worked other jobs, all without healthcare benefits. I had developed medical problems but feared a diagnosis as it would prevent coverage should I be able to obtain it. Given my knowledge, I managed to gain minimal treatment for an autoimmune condition without an actual diagnosis. I continued to work, at one point, 4 part time jobs & ran my own business. I literally worked 365 days a year & was a private pay patient. Eventually, the side effects of the medication & the effects of working while sick, took it's toll on me. I became disabled at 57 & finally got medicare & a firm diagnosis. Sadly, the damage done was not reversible. My ability to work is gone long before my desire to retire. My life will be shortened, my ability to survive now depends on living with my grown daughter. For ALL these reasons, I support Bernie Sanders. I clearly see how our current system ends up costing us in productivity, money & lives. I've NEVER donated time or money to a candidate. I can only manage a $10/ month donation & my resources are limited. I will continue to talk to people whenever I can about why we need single payer assurance of health. Proud boomer for Bernie!
