The crossover we didnt know we wanted but that we needed. Also its hilarious that Bernie was the mayor. "I dont like how society is run." "I am the literal major, give me tips how to improve".

There is a movie, i don't remember the name, it's about aliens from space invading Earth but it's actually esthetically and scriptwise like those movies about France being under nazi invasion during WWII, but in the USA in the XXI century. Boring as a sci fi alien based movie, interesting as a concept. Like the producers or the directors thought americans never thought of it happening in the USA.

@wetwaredistributor6770
@wetwaredistributor6770 Күн бұрын
@@hd-xc2lz I disagree. "Identity issues" is a way of devaluing human rights. For the economy to be actually good, human rights have to be a tenet of said economy. I hear way more valid economic criticism and ideas from the political left than the right, and the only people who think the left is getting wrapped up in identity politics, think that because their only interaction with the left are videoclips online of them arguing for trans people or whatever. Those clips get promoted on social media specifically to make you feel that way. I'm a 'leftist' and while I care about human rights deeply, I can also tell you that the least extreme way to fix our economic outlook is (a return to) keynesian economics, the type of economic strategy we used back in the 1950's. It's essentially government interventionism in industry that becomes too consolidated, high public spending (infrastructure, etc) to provide good paying jobs, additional housing, etc. And lastly, funded by taxing the wealthy harder than we currently are, while simultaneously lowering tax burden on the poor and middle class. In the 50's we had a 90% upper marginal tax rate on income. That's why shit didn't suck, the only way to avoid that high tax rate was to invest in your industry and workers. Don't want to spend all of your money on taxes, like most rich people don't? You can pay employees more and expand your business to do that. But what you can't do is pocket it all. Anyway, the right wing proposition for fixing the economy is basically "tariffs good" (they're not) and "what if women didn't work and got married instead" which if you live in the world today, you know that is not a viable option for 95% of people. And lastly, the right weaponizes identity politics to distract from the fact they have no good economic ideas besides continuing trickle down, laissez faire capitalism that has fully failed us as a nation. They suggest we deregulate industry and remove worker protections like that'll somehow help us (it wont) and when people go "hey that's a shit idea" they feign outrage and go "LOOK A TRANS PERSON IS INDOCTRINATING YOUR CHILDREN". The left's 'identity politics' is basically just defending against that bullshit, from a borderline fascist regime that would be happy to have people die from action based on those accusations if it distracts people long enough for them to push economic legislature that benefits nobody but themselves. In summary, if you think the left has no ideas besides identity politics, you're politically illiterate. Flat out. It's harsh but it's true, read into progressive platforms sometime from sources that aren't right-leaning news stations. P.S, Kamala Harris' platform, was a return to keynesian economics. That's also what Biden had started doing. Had we just stayed on this path, we'd be reaping the benefits. But now that Trump has won most branches of government for the republicans, we're all going to find out just how bad deregulation of industry actually is. We're going to get fucked over the next four years and I hope everyone learns something from it as their quality of life takes a large downward swing. Vote for the fuckin' alternative next time, if there is a next time. Dems being nice to minorities doesn't mean they have no economic policy proposals. And for the love of god stop watching shit like fox news, that's a 24/7 propaganda channel that would give soviet russia a run for it's money.
