Yeah, he's also been on Colbert and Drew Barrymore's daytime show, earlier today! I have noticed that Colbert doesn't pull many punches with the rot of the right wing, that's for sure! In fact, i am a bit taken aback, as to just how far even 'corporate' media has allowed their Comedians & talk Show hosts go in the last few years. Apparently some of them are also getting sick of just 3 or 4 of the richest people in the country, hoarding all the wealth and can see their pimps in Congress pushing for a civil war. Yup, these major networks still have a long ways to go before endorsing more full throated condemnations of the very system that has paid them well over the last several decades, but now that their children & grandchildren are no longer safe because of them (weapons of mass destruction so easily accessible & climate change, etc); they too realize they simply can no longer protect them under gasp - capitalism.

It's only "class warfare" when the poor fight back
@arcdecibel9986
@arcdecibel9986 Жыл бұрын
Is it? Because a whole a book was written about how to get people to engage in class warfare, and that's where the term originated. It's only "class warfare" if you're a Marxist. And do you know what happened to Marxist ideology? Amazingly, the poor didn't fight back. They just got wealthier, more free, and happier and never revolted. Neo-Marxism says this is a "false consciousness" and that they're not truly happy because they aren't indoctrinated into the true revolutionary consciousness. You're the result of that. Dumbshit slogans without an ounce of substance, just to create a class struggle where there doesn't have to be one.

When during the Trump administration the bottom 1/5th of wage earners had their incomes rise the fastest of all groups. That was the first time that had happened since the George W Bush administration. Because both Trump and W. used Kennedy's theory of using lower taxes, less immigration, deregulation, and smaller government to tighten up the labor market. Which raises wages, allows mobility, allows for advancement, and gives people dignity. Compare that to the Democrat policies of using high taxes, over regulation, open immigration, and big government to put permanent slack into the labor market. Which drives down wages and drives up housing prices at the same time, to the point tens of millions of people don't have any money left over at the end of the month. And it's the low wages at the bottom that allows the excesses at the top, causing the wealth gap. Raising the bottom 1/5th of wage earners wealth relative to everyone else is something liberals will never be able to do because of their policies. Bernie IS fighting against the poor.

If you took the United States' Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a law that prohibits bribery and undue influence of foreign government officials, and apply it to US Government officials, a lot of people would be in jail. @@paulwheeler6609 Unfortunately for you, anyone who is not a lazy sloth or a clam head can go into the IRS data and see the truth that the 2017 tax cuts helped lower income people more than the rich. If you actually believed the lie that the tax cuts helped the wealthy, than you are easily brainwashed. If you look at the data you will see that conservative policies of lower taxes helped poor and working class people again, every time they are implemented, just as John F. Kennedy predicted they would. "Filers who earned $50,000 to $100,000 received a tax break of about 15 percent to 17 percent, and those earning $100,000 to $500,000 in adjusted gross income saw their personal income taxes cut by around 11 percent to 13 percent. By comparison, no income group with an AGI of at least $500,000 received an average tax cut exceeding 9 percent, and the average tax cut for brackets starting at $1 million was less than 6 percent. (For more detailed data, see my table published here.) That means most middle-income and working-class earners enjoyed a tax cut that was at least double the size of tax cuts received by households earning $1 million or more. What’s more, IRS data shows earners in higher income brackets contributed a bigger slice of the total income tax revenue pie following the passage of the tax reform law than they had in the previous year. In fact, every income bracket with filers earning $200,000 or more increased its tax burden in 2018 compared to 2017, and every income bracket with a top limit lower than $200,000 paid a smaller proportion of the total personal tax revenue collected. That means that Republicans’ tax reform law resulted in the tax code becoming slightly more progressive - the exact opposite of what Democrats have claimed over the past four years. The IRS data further shows that the tax reform law - which included a variety of business tax cuts, including a large reduction in the corporate income tax rate - spurred economic mobility. Every income bracket with a top level lower than $25,000 experienced a reduction in its number of filers, and every income bracket above $25,000 increased in size, with the biggest gains occurring in the brackets with a floor of at least $100,000. The fact is, Republicans’ 2017 tax reform law did exactly what was promised: It lowered taxes for all income groups, provided the greatest benefits for middle-income households, and spurred economic growth that helped reduce poverty and improve prosperity."

For the past century at least and on an accelerated basis in the 21st Century, the strategy of the Marxist Left, currently in full control of the US and most of the world, has been to Infiltrate Everything. The overarching strategy was labeled in 1967 as “The long march through the institutions” by German socialist Rudi Duschke, however by then it was decades into the implementation phase, but only then rapidly accelerating. It is now complete, even as we continue to be shocked at its’ reach and manifestations. In the US it included the subversion of the 2 Party political system under a two fold strategy of running Democrats as Republicans in every “Red” state in America and then using Federal money to complete the coups and overtake the machinery of every State government. This too is complete and was wildly successful. The list of global tactics underpinning the infiltration strategy is far too long to enumerate here, but as the unfolding story of Project Veritas and James O’Keefe demonstrates, Boards of Directors of public, private and non-profit businesses and institutions were high on the list for infiltration starting in the 20th century. James O’Keefe was the founder of Project Veritas and both its’ face and its’ voice. How is it that he ended up with a Board full of Brutuses, ostensible friends who were in fact enemies? Was he not in a position to carefully choose his own Board? The same can be observed in thousands upon thousands of Boards - we call them Woke!, a term Caesar never would have applied to Brutus on March 15, 44 BC.

Even though our population is a fraction of the USA, we have universal healthcare, subsidised child care (still expensive), paid maternity and paternity leave, 4 weeks legislated annual leave (some have up to 6 weeks), 10 days legislated sick leave and long service leave. The only reason the USA can't be as great as Oz, is your corporate system. We are not perfect, but our workplace laws are far and away better then the USA. Challenge me!

Perhaps the threat is neutralized, But boy they REALLY gave it to him when he was running, ....SOCIALISM this, and SOCIALISM that, SOCIALISM SOCIALISM SOCIALISM. Bernie is correct about the media being gatekeepers for the ultra wealthy, And you can plainly see it in the way they treat people like him, when he's no longer a threat to them vs. when he IS. They LOVE to use buzzwords like SOCIALISM, to quell the threat to their BIG CLUB ...., as George Carlin called it.
