She did slip in a very underhanded verbal stunt at 13:57 though. Bernier said his candidates must be against (mass) immigration. She turned that to be "anti-immigrant". There's also a jump cut thrown in there immediately after Bernier says that white supremacists aren't welcome, so I have no clue if he corrected her on that verbal slight of hand.
@MGKoutdoors

Smiling Archer Im on your side, but if you watch again, Bernier says anti imigration first lol. Such an obvious puff piece is weak journalism, honestly. I wish Bernier all the best in his efforts, but he needs to evolve past the need to "showcase his humanity" by ordering food in a formal interview while the interviewer provides not even enough resistance for us to test the core of his platform and character. We the body politic need more from our journalists than warm, friendly inquisitiveness that sits there passively, only ever speaking up to provide an awaited cue for the interviewee to roll out his talking points and strike sympathetic poses like an over-engineered presentation.

Aaron P Priceless! He appeared to be genuinely trying hard to come up with anything at all. And countless Canadians would likely respond the exact same way if asked. Myself, I simply cannot relate to our PM and his beliefs in a political or personal manner in any way shape or form. He's truly an odd duck. On the other hand, I met Bernier last night and he seems to be the real deal. Many thousands of people are now resonating with him and his ideas on how this country should be run. Once everyone finds out who he is and what he stands for those thousands will turn into millions! Trudeau and Scheer have definitely got their work cut out for themselves in 2019.

I've always leaned left most of my life on social issues, but Bernier seems like a honest politician that isn't putting up a smokescreen like the others. I do not agree with all of his positions, but I am willing to compromise on a few of my "beliefs", if you will in order to have an honest leader who isn't going to cater to people just to make friends. You can't impose climate change tax when the biggest three countries of the world - China, India & USA create all the world pollution. If you want to change climate, we have to stop telling people to pay up when it is common sense that helps you reduce waste. 1. Stop investor to keep home empty. Home is for living not for use for stock market. Why built when no one is going to live in it. 2. Built universities in the country where students want to go. So often our universities accept more foreign students and neglect local students. The artificial inflating the tuition fees put students in debt. Why not tell universities to build their campus in foreign soil so you waste less with migration & paper work. Keep it simple. It will also keep the education price down. Everyone wins 3. Product waste & refusal to allow user repair their own device. So often we are forced to buy newer and newer product. We should impose law to allow user to able to fix their own device without throwing them out. Make it a mandate that all product need blue print so we encourage 3rd party fixing & keep the cost of consumer device low. 4. Stop cater to lobbiest who want to monopolized. This brings no competition & allows one group to profit off their citizens. Innovation is a key driver & most often patent troll keep it from becoming a reality. Government should add innovation clause where anyone can make product but if the company only keep it at design state and not bring forth the product, they should not allow to profit off their ideas. Stop supporting lazy people.

Maxime for PM, he's a good man and a genius! Speaking as a woman on feminism, I find the idea of to be sexist. We're equal to men but not the same. Feminism feels like trying too hard to change outcomes rather than to equalize circumstances. There's an important difference.

I really think this guy deserves more support. He's honest, and most importantly, he's logical! What has the world come to these days...people don't just have to support the Liberals or Conservatives. Is there anything we can do to help this guy with more support?

I'm worried that the only reason the CBC gave him a fair interview is because they hope it would split the conservative vote. To me, if you are truly conservative, there is only one choice. But to the leftist CBC, this could be a tactic to help Trudeau. Alright, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and consider this good work. If the CBC starts smearing Max when it is evident he has a chance to be PM, that would show their true colors.

They already tried to smear him JJ a different interview by spending the whole thing saying he was funded by American billionaires.

Don't trust the CBC at all, I like Bernier, but really don't want Trudeu back in. Nothing he has done since elected was on his platform and as a female I am insulted by his callousness towards women in cabinet and if I was one, I would be ashamed to be one, since they were not chosen on their ability but because they had certain body parts, totally sexist. While I really appreciated the interview I believe CBC should absolutely be publically defunded, it used to be relevant but for a long time they have had too much political power and feed at the trough that hard working Canadians who struggle to pay into. I'll keep an open mind and ear for Bernier as I believe he is the voice of most Canadians I know.
