My wife’s sewing machine had a problem that it wasn’t sewing properly. Problem was somewhat similar to the example in this video. But was a bit random, meaning a few stitches might come out right but then again not. I disassembled the machine and noticed a bit of fabric lint/dust on the circuit board attached to the transparent plastic parts that presumably read the rotation of the synchronizer using a photocell principle. I removed the lint and with a quick test, the problem seems to be gone, I’m waiting for my wife’s feedback. So, could the lint have slightly interfered with the photocell’s operation? The part presented in the video itself seemed to be in good condition.
