Marvellous machine and the demonstration by the lady very precise and a great help. I’ve got the Bernina 730 and I started with Bernina Record (not telling how long ago) and other models in between, all very good. Thank you.

I recently bought the machine your using. The family fabric shop where I bought it are nice but busy and they all sew well. So glad I found you. You are the best teacher for this machine that I have found on you tube. (I imagine any machine you decide to teach about ;-) Thanks for the very clear videos. My machine thanks you too!

I just came across your tutorial regarding the BSR - is this in replacement of the free motion foot. OMG thank you so much as I have had my BSR and had no idea how to use it. Thank you so much. Do you have any other tutorials?

I have the 590 with this BSI. What is the difference in the 590 and the 770? Advantages, etc.

Do you have to move the fabric sideways if wanting to go sideways.
@getskilledalot38344 жыл бұрын
I'm very new at this too, but you can lift the presser foot with the needle in the down position (so the fabric stays in place) and manually turn the fabric so you don't have to go sideways.

What thread did you use in the bobbin?

Would you use this foot when you want to free form stitching as in it you want to draw on your fabric with thread instead of a pencil. Sorry I do not know the technical name for the art form ?
@berninarobyn6 жыл бұрын
Certainly.Its called Thread Painting. By using the BSR all your stitches will be regular to the length you set the stitch length to. Happy stitching.

Definately. Its called free hand stitching or thread painting. The BSR makes the stitching even. Practice regularly . It is alot if fun.

Hi, My B820 doesn't stitch in place in either BSR 1 or 2, and won't work at all with the foot pedal out, is that correct operation for that (hateful!) series? The mechanic replaced the BSR board 3 months ago as it wasn't regulating anything. Thanks for any advice you may have

Synders 07 i would get your dealer to send your BSR foot back to switzerland. We have had to replace a couple over the last 2 years. They are happy to replace them no question asked.I hope this helps.

Did you do an "8 Series" as I paid thousands for B820 and keep getting told it's 'not one of Bernina's better machines'. There's so much negative feedback for this series, including shops that won't trade them in. I really need some insight as to how to learn to tolerate this machine. I've sat with the rep twice and both times it was back to the tech to have another board replaced. It seems to be a lemon but no one will actually say it. I've enquired about FMQ classes and even the teacher has suggested I don't bring my machine but borrow one of the shops - kind of says a lot when it's a BYO machine class! I'm sorry for putting this in a public forum, but you really know your machines and I'm happy to work through tutorials to get a decent result. I can't put anything in a show with continually broken threads. It's ok for basic sewing, but that's a very expensive straight stitch. I had Bernina envy of my friends for 20 years, but the 820 killed that.

Hello, I appreciate your tutorial, l don’t own this machine but would love to. Do you know where l can buy a good used on if possible? I really want one.

Carolyn Black if you look for a Bernina dealer in your area they should have pre-owned machines available. I recently purchased this exact machine, second-hand from my local dealer here in Texas. They were able to offer financing and a warranty! It’s definitely worth it!

you did not show us the stitches...are they the same size?
@berninarobyn6 жыл бұрын
I will make sure I get a close up done next time.Sorry. Yes the stitches do go the same size with your BSR as long as you don;t move the fabric too fast. Your machine will make a sound if you go too fast and also the on off light will flash Red.
