SO glad I came across this video. Unfortunately I don’t have a Bernina, but I’ve been trying to do this on my machine. Came very close after watching other videos, but this one is excellent. Answered my question about how to correctly pin and turn the front rail for the quilt top. Video and written instructions are great! Thank you!

What size are the poles for the frame? They look larger than the 1-1/4" emt poles on my wood frame.

I appreciate the videos, but they would be much more enjoyable if there was no music. I tire of listening to the music. You could voice over with the instructions........

Thanks for your feedback. We will check if we can do without music in future videos with voice-over instructions.

Looks highly complicated

Dear Paradiso Perduto, we tried our best to demonstrate the process as detailed as possible, therefore it might look more complicated than it really is. Here is a short form: pin the quilt backing first between the “take-up” and the “backing” rail, then put on your batting followed by your top and stitch all together straight. Your decision to pin your top to the lower “top” rail or have it just float. Hoping this helps.

I’m still clueless as to why anyone would want a Bernina. Loading looks to be a pain and awkward.

Thank you for your feedback. The video is very detailed and explains the loading in many small steps. It is meant for beginners. Experienced quilters will of course do this much faster. You are very welcome to make an appointment with a BERNINA dealer to test our machines and convince yourself of their quality and ease of use.
