I smile while watching your videos. I have been in Naperville before ever learning about Bernina and so I feel connected to your effort to teach and enjoy your lessons. I am using a BSR and do not understand how to judge foot pressure because 74 and 42 is showing the bobbin thread alot!
@BERNINAofNaperville Жыл бұрын
That’s not foot pressure, that’s tension. So the BSR has its own tension adjustment because it is considered a separate stitch. So if you tighten the upper tension on it, when you put the #74 foot on, that’s gonna be with the actual #1 straight stitch. Also, what model BERNINA do you Have? What type of thread? Is the tension eyelashing? There are so many things hinges to consider.

Wrapping paper will make a mess. I prefer to ruler work without stitch regulation as one typically goes slower. The Q16 is awesome as it has the regulation at the needle plate for the 360° movement.

@@BERNINAofNaperville the “walking foot”
@BERNINAofNaperville4 жыл бұрын
Walking foot is very useful for straight line and match stitch quilting. Also sewing the binding on. Although some of the machines also have dual feed, the walking foot can get a better hold of the top material in some instances. The BSR is for free motion quilting like following a motif or stippling. Not as east to do straight lines.
