Berny Titianium SNK Homage - Full Review

Picked up one of these last year (with the new B logo). I wore it for a day or two until my Mrs noticed it. It's been her daily since. They are brilliant value at that price.

Great review, great watch. The hand length bugged me on these, so I bought the version with a full lume Sinn inspired dial and I love it 👍

The update Sinn 556 A homage is amazing. It's super comfy on a FKM strap.

I bought one (on the bracelet) in the 11/11 sale, and right away I traded the bracelet for a yellow FKM strap. I think the yellow looks great with the green dial & the red accent of the second hand, and I don't have any watch that's more comfortable on the wrist. Personally I recommend saving your $6 or w/e on the bracelet, and just enjoy an absolutely great watch for the $. Great legibility, better lume than you have any right to expect, it's mad comfortable & fits _many_ wrists (not really _my_ ~20cm wrist, but still), of course you get the advantages that even cheap quartz can provide: convenience, accuracy, and reliability. Yes, operating the crown sucks, but as you said, big deal! The VH31 might be my favorite cheap movement, too. As it's a bit small for me, I offered the watch to my sister, and after a week she said she likes it but still would prefer something smaller. I'll find someone to give it to. Watches are tough as gifts, because it's hard enough to even know what _I_ will like, but at a low enough price (like this watch), I'll try my luck. It's just excellent IMO.

I have had it for over a year and bought it for $41. Just like that - green with a green strap. This Seiko movement has more power to turn the hands and will probably go many years without maintenance or lubrication.

Echoing Steve, buy with the titanium bracelet IF you'd wear it on a bracelet. I thought the price difference is more like $13-16 (not $6) above the strap price. If it's only $6 difference, it's definitely worth a try.

I have the original Seiko and this Berny is arguably way better. You can’t even hand wind the 7S26 original- you have to shake it. It’s a bloody pain to set the full day and date with that minuscule crown. Plus it’s only got mineral glass. This one keeps perfect time, has sapphire, and it’s always ready to go. Totally agree with you that The VH31 is a winner. I have it in several watches with it and they’re all great. I have the bracelet and quite like it. It’s super light TI and wears well

IMHO T2567MS looks better. It might be biased opinion as I really like SNK361 caseshape.

Berny is killing my wallet. I just bought the new release of Addiesdive's version of the Hamilton khaki field for about $100. I really hope you do a review of that watch soon. Then Berny releases this version of their SNK without a logo and I just fall in love with this watch. This is exactly the way Berny should've made this watch in the beginning. If they want a logo on their watches they should just put it on the back cover. The dial on this watch just gets overly cluttered. Still as a brand I absolutely love Berny and their use of the VH31 movement. I love the reliability of quartz with the sweeping second hand.

It’s a Flieger ‘B’ dial not a SNK homage, otherwise a good review. I have this myself.

A “flieger” is a pilot or aviator-style watch. The majority of modern flieger watches are inspired by the now-iconic German B-Uhren and pilot’s watches of World War II. Type B (Baumuster B): manufactured from January 1941, this dial had large minute numerals from 5 to 55 on a chapter ring around the periphery and a small sub-chapter ring with hour numerals. Only five companies manufactured the original B-Uhren for the Luftwaffe; A. Lange & Söhne, Laco, Stowa, Wempe & IWC. Seiko did not make the original watches and thus itself is a hommage. Additionally the Seiko has a Day & Date which flieger watches did not have.

I'm a XXL guy, 6'4" 275 pounds, and with a 9 inch wrist. Unfortunately, this cool watch would be too small for me.
