I'm definitely one of the "perfect" people he's describing. He's nailing every detail, especially that of hurts from years ago. It sucks indeed!

100% accurate. I try to do everything the "right" way. And I still remember all the abuse from my childhood. I haven't talked to certain members of my family in years, because of the stuff they've done/said to me.

Yes yes yes......this is me. What he says at the end of the video is me exactly. From 3:30 till the end really hit me hard. Everything he said is true about this "perfectionist type". Criticized often and unable to release the hurt very well.......we hold onto the pain usually. Very sensitive at least about some stuff and feel very deeply usually. Unfortunately my wife who is separated from me (she left) was very critical and verbally abusive at times and she could never understand my pain.

I fit into this "perfect" category. Yes, I am extremely creative and sensitive as well. Surgeons fall under this category too - thankfully.

I took a personality trait test and it described me as Melancholic...........I truly hope that my wife will come back to me and realize that even though I am not perfect I am very much in love with her and would do anything for her. I need help with issues also. She is very special to me and I can't imagine my life without her........unfortunately she doesn't share my same thinking....she just keeps telling me to fix myself.

I was fairly certain that I was part of this "perfect" classification, but it became cemented to me when I made a playlist of these 4 videos and then realized that they were out of order and edited it to make the list chronologically sound...

@heidilow77 I highly recommend viewing this entire DVD. Mark explains everything very well. He is by no way suggesting that there are "perfect" people. He is meerly using that word as a layman's term for one of the four personality types used in psychology. In this case, Perfect is his term for the Hippocrates Greek Term "Melancholy". I happen to be a "perfect person" and his discription is right on.

I love her tremendously and with all my heart but her words were just killing me and so I ended reacting to her in a withdrawn and negative way and so she thought of me as uncaring, unloving, and unhelpful when in reality I wanted to do so much for her. When my spouse is referring to me as useless, hopeless, stupid and so on I have no desire to be or do anything for her. It's a long story but we both need help and to change in my opinion........take a more positive direction to save the marriage

Oh wow, now I see they’re all spelled that way... Uh, maybe intends to be British pronunciation...?😂

Your premise is not accurate. The truth is people of this age do not acknowledge others. No one is perfect but just perceived as being perfect. Many of us feel justified to offend and insult those who are gifted and must answer to God. A lot of times the truly near-perfect people don't worry about their state of being. Otherwise they will be brought down by this weight of perfection.
@racheldovi29116 жыл бұрын
Heidi Low lol, he’s just describing people and gave a name/category to it... and the way you are reacting is proving that you’re a “perfect” person, haha... did you watch the video? ;)
