He talked and made you feel like one of the homies you'd see skating around town. That was quite some time ago so I don't know if he's changed, but dude was super cool to me and everyone then. Definitely wasn't a d bag then.

@@BackflipinBrandon Are you sure you're not thinking of Mullen? Rodney's dad didn't want him to skate because he thought skateboarding was for bums and was too dangerous. Nyjah's dad was a skater himself and pushed Nyjah to skate at a very young age. He made him skate pretty much every single day. They did move to Puerto Rico at one point which caused issues for Nyjah with Element due to the distance, but I don't think his dad ever tried to stop him from skating.

yes and no, definitely a memorable moment du to nyjah's last attempt, him landing it and winning the gold but not a narliest trick... if aurelien hardflip late flip would have made him won you wouldn't see nyjah's hardflip as a mement in skate history... aurelien's trick was narly af which in my opinion should easily have been good enough for gold !

The gnarliest thing I think he ever landed wasn't huge or scary but something I have never seen replicated or done before. It's at 5:52 of his till death part and he does a backside 180 5-0 (more like a salad) but somehow manages to continue to spin while grinding a 5-0, I think it was accidental to be honest but the amount of balance and precision it would take to spin while grinding a 5-0 seems almost impossible to do.

Oh man, that trick always stood out and looked so good. Good call. I remember an interview with him where he did say it was accidental that he spun it all the way around, but can't remember if it was maybe his Nine Club appearance? Either way, an amazing grind. Only seen a handful of others in videos spin them around at the end, but never on anything like that Nyjah rail.
