Berry College Eagles: Dad Defends Eggs Against Intruder

This was awesome to watch. Nature at its best. Super caring daddy Eagle protects the eggs over and over against an intruder. AWWWW too cute. The intruder remained quiet though didn't say a beak, cant help thinking maybe this was a past relative maybe? or not. The moral of this super cute story is do not let your eyes off your kids. Always be aware of your surroundings and your children especially around strangers. It was fun watching the Eagle Mamma flying in.

I love this video. Observing all Gods creatures gives one a perspective of the natural world that opens your eyes and your heart. It reveals the amazing abilities and importance of nurturing the family and the quest for survival. Dad brings out all the defensive mechanisms in his response & actions. The way he uses his wings to protect the eggs and flaps them down hard on the nest as a warning is awesome. His conversation with Mom out in the back tree was interesting. It was funny when she came down into the nest for a chat about the intruder, then suddenly left and Dad was like “Now where is she going now.” Thanks for posting. Lynn in Naples FL Merry Christmas 🤶

Thank you donnabel. 🤗Love Dad and his karate moves. I think that was Missy back there because of the way the head movements matched the alert calls. Also I too saw the intruder turn around on the branch while she was back there alerting. Had to be a female since Missy was the one that took off after it. At least I too assume that is what she did. That was a BIG eagle.

It's been a while since I've watched this nest, is this the same male? What happened to mama with the bad leg, she was a big beauty who produced a bunch of wonderfully funny and fearless kids!

It is the same male, but a new female that displaced the original one in November of 2020.

@@judithryle2113 that first season was really hard to watch, she was so inexperienced. She did really great this last season with B15, was really like a helicopter mama.
