I agree with much of what you say, with the exception of Point 7 - the wedding guests. Maybe some of these guests went to University/college together, but I doubt it's true for everyone. So while there might be some overlap, I doubt it would ever be 100%, for the simple reason that most of us have to invite family members etc along first. Secondly, just because you're part of a large social circle doesn't mean you're equally close to everyone. Thirdly, it's just life that not everyone is going to be able to make it. As for the film itself, I wonder if it was because (a) they just didn't have the resources to cover it, as shown by your Point 5 (Extras), and (b) because the writer wanted us to focus upon the main characters, rather than looking for connections between background characters?

True for me. Been to at least 5 weddings so far with a circle of uni friends. However, the wider circles obviously differed such as family.

How could you possibly miss the worst thing about the film: Carrie is beyond unlikeable and Andie McDowell is terrible in it (that's the something you don't like). Also disagree with #5. What a waste to buy hundreds of dresses and suits and shoes just to make a movie. If the actors didn't want to bring their own clothes, then don't go! I agree this movie is a 6.

She's a terrible character but then so is Charles. Seems he was quite a knobhead towards previous girlfriends. His brother seemed a decent chap (and got with the prettiest girl in the film imo). Tom is the best character.

Oh God, she was sooooo bloody annoying! I'd go so far as to say that she's one of the worst love interests of any film I've seen. I just wanted her to buzz off forever. And him marrying Duckface was very out of the blue, and he behaved like the biggest dog, though I get why they made his character do that.
