I have the TPR9C or Thunder Pro Redesign 9mm Compact. It is a redesigned Thunder Pro with law enforcement and competition shooter input in the design and the latest of the Pro line. It is a double stack 13+1. My favorite sub compact carry pistol. Sweet trigger in both single and double action. Accurate and reliable. I use covered sight with all my three dot 9mm sub and micro compacts. I can easily decock with the shooting thumb. Putting the safety on decocks and then taking it off for double action. It is not a cocked and locked pistol in single action. SIG compatible sights. Same ambidextrous snag free controls. It is slimmer and slightly smaller than a Taurus G2c but close in size and only slightly heavier. There are only a few things I don't like. The polygonal barrel should be a standard rifled barrel, the firing pin take down requires removing two detent pins and is a pain to do, and the safety lock is not needed. Nice shooting. If only CZ would make the P-01 in .45 ACP... That's what I really want. Most manufacturers have done away with their .45 ACP offerings. All the cool new pistols are 9mm with some 10mm versions thrown in. Unless you're looking for a 1911, finding a .45 ACP pistol requires some searching, especially in a carry size. My criteria: .45 ACP, the size of a G-19, 10 round magazine, 4" barrel, and a Pic rail. My EDC: Sig P-320 Compact. Yes, the barrel is only 3.9" and capacity is only 9+1, but the trigger/ergos/night-sights are great and I shoot it really well, so I chose it over the G-30.

Unfortunately, CZ did make the 97B but it was discontinued. But, it was a large, double-stack, DA/SA, pistol.I have a review of the Tisas 1911 B45 version of it coming out soon. Glock still offers plenty of .45 ACP pistol to choose from, like the G30 GEN5 that is close to the G19/G23 in size. There is also the Springfield Armory XD 4" Compact Handgun, Low Capacity (10-round) .45 ACP|Black (XD9645). And by the way, thanks for watching and commenting.

@@RangeRoninChronicles I have a CZ 97B. THAT is an awesome pistol. The biggest drawbacks are that it's too big and heavy to carry (although I have) and it doesn't have a rail to mount a light as a nightstand gun. CZ also made the P-10F in .45... they don't any more. I'm not a Glock kinda guy... the XDs are pretty "Meh" for me. I could probably live with the XDm but I prefer the Sig 320C.

@@HalfCrazy520 I agree with you on the CZ 97B. Large and in charge it is. It seems like the latest trend is the 9 sillimeter, with 10mm also being popular. I have been sitting on center fence here lately with the .40 Smith & Wesson.

@@RangeRoninChronicles Life is full of compromises... the .40 was and is a sensible compromise between 9mm and .45 ACP. Heavier, larger dimeter, and harder hitting than 9mm... almost the same capacity. It's hard to hate on the .40 S&W. 10mm is harder recoiling, has a louder report, and has more muzzle flash than is desirable for self-defense/carry. All the things the 9mm guys put down the .45 for are worse with the 10mm, but you do get the same capacity as the .40s. The .45 isn't going to deafen me, it isn't going to blind me with flash, it's low pressure so it doesn't beat the gun up, recoil is more of a 'push' than a kick. And what hurts more, an ice pick at 100 mph or a 1/2" carriage bolt at 80 mph?

@@HalfCrazy520 The .45 ACP 185-grain round can almost achieve .40 S&W 180-grain ballistics - depending on the selected ammunition, and with a larger 11.43 mm round. I do love my 1911(s), having carried one in one form or another over the past fifty years. I have been experimenting, on and off, with the .40 S&W. I will be posting a review of the Ruger SR1911 Lightweight soon. I will be starting out with some 185-grain Sig-Sauer V-Crown JHP rounds (995 fps) as an experiment. Hornady Std P 185 gr. FTX Critical Defense is rated at around 1041 feet-per-second out of a 5"barrel. When it comes down to it, I'll pass on your comparison. I would not want to be hit with either an ice pick at 100 mph or a 1/2" carriage bolt at 80 mph, or a 9mm 124 grain Hydra-Shok JHP (@ 1115 fps.) or a .45 ACP Federal HST Std P 230 grain JHP (@ 896 fps.). They are all going to do the right thing in stopping a threat when placed in vital areas.
