After rereading Berserk, it feels like Kentaro Mirura left us seeds showing Griffith humanity is there more than we guessed, and more than Griffith knows. Griffith remade the Band of Falcon based on the original members. Guts to Zodd (quick to fall into combat rage). Casca to Locus (very military strict and follow orders to the tea), Judeau to Irvine (sniper of the group & musician), Pippin to Grunbled (tallest of group, use Warhammer, fights fair and speaks little), Corkus to Rakshas (self-centered ambitious and has the most failures out the group) & Rickert (kid version) to Sonia (100% believes in Griffith and would die for the band of the Falcons without thinking with idealism have a young fan meeting their hero). Just a thought

I always felt like the sage that was locked up became void. Each archangel is born every 216 years, and with Void being the first archangel he would have been human a 1000 years ago. And if you notice with the Skull Knight he especially hates Void more then any of the others because he was the king during that time. Also Void's appearance is one of someone extremely tortured.

As someone who is a gigantic fan of the Souls games and Elden Ring, I just want to say that this is phenomenal. I know Miyazaki was heavily inspired by Berserk and for a while I've been wanting to read it so I could see the easter eggs, references, and parallels between it and Dark Souls. Unfortunately I never have the time. But this video explains the story so I don't have to read it

​@frog6054 oh, I certainly will. My problem now is money. I'm slowly acquiring the deluxe editions, but they're $50 each and there are 14 volumes ($700 total). I predict probably 2 more in the future as Kouji Mori and the crew do some setup volumes and the ending. I've only got 1-3 for now (right up to Casca and Guts' "wrestling march" prior to the mission to rescue Griffith).

I think how the last chapter ends is a good ending for the series, Miura wrote the story that he could while he was alive and the latest chapter that came out last year with the manuscript I think is how they should keep it. Miura didn't get to finish his story, but this cliffhanger ending gives it a bit of hope for the bleak world of Berserk. It's sad we don't get to see anything more of what Miura writes because he was great at storytelling, but if they do continue I feel we can all appreciate Miura's vision and what he wrote and in contrast of what other authors will take the direction of the story.

How hasn't this entire series been made into an anime? The 25 episodes were some of the best I've ever seen and the first hour of this seems like amazing story telling. It's all there ready to go why hasn't this happened? I want to watch the rest of this, it seems like a ton of effort went into it, but I'm going to save myself from spoilers incase my wish is ever granted. Thanks for clearing up the cliff hanger though, spent hours looking for a fleshed out explanation of what happens after the eclipse.

Probably difficult to adapt for a few reasons, graphic content, budget and also don't forget the story is still ongoing and was being released very slowly before Miura died so producers of the anime would have to either keep waiting or do their own ending FMA style.

The place where the story has been left off can work as an ending, however it leaves off a sense of longing, the longing to know what was meant to happen. Since muira didnt want to release the forbidden chapter where the idea of evil was introduced, it means there was something really big in the works. However, sadly we may never know now and must just accept that this ending is how everyone life is ongoing.

This isn't the end for guts, Miura's assistant has agreed to continue the story as faithfully as possible. If anyone would know how to finish the story, he would. I don't really know anymore than that but its hopefully not the end of Miuras and Guts's story.

Pretty interesting when we saw the first line up of the God hand. Seems only the void was the original members of the God hand. I am pretty sure that Miura had some grand plot or storyline why there different God hand member on king Gaeseric timeline. This just my theory though, after being cursed and turned into skull knight he became a mentor for some warriors in 1000 years span to kill the God hand members. I mean, it is not like a sifu in a kung fu movie. But instead guide them to some places or some super natural artefacts that could kill the a God hand. Then another one, Berseker armour emitted the residual energy from king Gaeseric, right? My theory is, that before he got cursed, at least he killed a God hand. Oooh God, limitless possibility of expansion for the lore that already written

Yeah I honestly think there were only 4 members of the godhand and during his eclipse, the sage he had imprisoned became void and over the next 1000 years he did his best to destroy them and actually got the other 4 members at some point but was never able to take down void, his arch nemesis

I even bought her a femto and skull knight figurine (and Alucard from hellsing) for her birthday a few years ago, she loves "cool looking bad guys" and femto is her favorite villain of all time.
