Rabid isnt actually usless, if a captain is hit by rabid enough times htey will bcome terrified and flee, which makes it especiall good on any orc with an elite gang.

I find it really hard to stay alive without running away every minute in a crowd with captains, you have any tips for that? I'm playing on brutal btw

Best thing to do is hit and run. Constantly dodging will keep you from taking any damage, but there really isn't any way to deal with multiple Captains at the same time. That's why finding strong ally captains is so important, because they can deal with the masses, while you cherry pick the weaklings.
