Howie stepping into the podcast game is the best thing he could've done to solidify his legacy. As a mid-30s guy, Howie was always the dude who was just around when you stayed home from school- from glove guy to bobby's world, daytime tv gigs, to his own daytime slot, he was always a backbone to my generation's "classic comic", similar to the joan river's exposure with the previous generation. It's a shame he's so late to the podcast game- because the podcast he and his daughter does is top-tier, and i guarantee if they get a good supply of podcast-friendly comedians (who are all mostly of generation to want to do anything howie asks lmao), he'll be a staple of broadcasting, as he's proven several times through various television medium.
@DocJamesH3 жыл бұрын
For that matter, he doesn't even need a podcast for exposure, like other comics do. So it's even better that he decided to show up for some anyway!

me too! and i love people who dont know him are seeing him everywhere and learning about ocd/germaphobia because i was born with it, i have only wiped my ass without a glove once since like age 10 lol and during this pandemic i've got so much shit just doing what i always have like using my own pen to sign receipts or using my sleeve or a glove to open a door, ect unfortunately after trump and covid all the sudden theres always an asshole making a comment about it to me or others talking shit about mask/gloves or how i touch stuff lol and im shocked at how childish adults are. i thought kids were bullies in school god damn that was nothing compared to how many and how severe adults are lol

My earliest memory of Howie is watching Bobby's World in the early-ish 90's just before dinner, Family Matters than Fresh Prince where on just after we ate. Knowing he was also from up here meant a lot, he and Jim Carrey.

Howie has made strides with his own disability and at 66 still progressing and making content for everyone is really special. Bert is great at sitting down with people chilling and pulling them into the scene and giving a great platform for people to explain who they are and what they believe in. Have been watching all these podcasts and really being introduced to people on another level and expanding my personal fandoms . Much appreciation !

I love Howie. I do not have OCD, but I briefly experienced the symptom. I saw 5 geese walking in a parking lot (I live in Canada) and for some reason I had to keep counting them. I did this several times, over and over again, for a few minutes. I knew it was weird but couldn't stop. I have Major Depressive disorder with generalized anxiety disorder, and at the time I was switching up my meds. Some other things happened to, I had a phrase that I just kept repeating in my mind. It was just a sentence that I had said. Very weird, and there was no stopping it.

Anyone else notice that most of Bart's questions were set-ups for something about him that he wanted to talk about. He'd ask Howie a question and at the first pause Bart would cut him off and talk about himself. Howie said at least 3X "back to what I was saying"
@claytontackett45113 жыл бұрын
That’s what Bert does. It’s awesome to see someone who knows how to push past an interruption and get back to the subject being explained. I never knew that Howie was so good at carrying a conversation in that way. This is such a great podcast! Good job Bert, you’re getting better at listening/ letting the guest talk.
