Thank you Mr Dexter for bringing happiness to my childhood. I'm 71 now. I met Mr Dexter at the McDade mall when my kids were small. I was so excited to see him. Our world has corrupted the young now. May The Lord help us back.

Thanks for sharing this. It brings back fond memories of growing up in Philly in the 1950's. I used to watch this show faithfully on Sunday mornings after church.

You're welcome! I'm hoping that more of this show will surface. I'm actually Australian so its nice to see shows outside of Aussie based around Aussie stuff, along with Tingha And Tucker

I watched Bertie the Bunyip and Sir Guy de Guy on channel 3 TV in the 1950's where I was born - Germantown Hospital - we lived in Elkins Park. Dad worked for Penn Fruit.

I grew with that show, too. Closing line: ".. and we're all on channel three!" Wish someone had a copy of an episode & its theme melodies. No, we must leave for the mysterious island, Tapioca.

Thank you, Patti Smith, for mentioning Bertie the Bunyip during your interview with Tom Snyder on his infamous "Tomorrow Show." This was a formative influence for Patti when she was a child.

I watched this show for years when I was a child. It was great and entertaining for all children. Of course it looks super corny, but it was not for it's time period. Watching it today though just makes me laugh out loud.

Was this great show only in the Philly area? Sad. I lived in NJ near Phila and remember the show fondly.
