The impressive Bertil Fox in 1983 (Olympia) was so ahead of his time. He was the freak of the late 70s. When we see this comparison with H. Labrada, when we see Bertil's huge arms and pecs, we can legitimately ask ourselves the question of what Bertil would have looked like if he had not given up after his 5th place at Olympia 83. This guy definitely had all the tools to become Mr Olympia. Samir Bannout recently said that B. Fox is the thickest bodybuilder he has ever seen.

Bertil didn't give up after the '83 Olympia!! He actually competed until 1994, but his placings dropped. He had a fantastic side chest, and most muscular, but his back was quite narrow and he looked pretty bad in most of the other poses!!

@@liamflynn6929 guys were using baby doses back then compared to today. It was a new drug, very expensive and just like individual people increase dosages over time, so does society as a whole. A huge dose back then is what competitors take now as a baseline. Drug use basically only goes one way over time, it increases.

This is the reason why I never liked the old school. Absolutely ridiculous proportions. Huge arms, nothing else. When your legs look bigger than your legs in the side chest, you dun goofed. Absolutely zero aesthetics, his arms destroy everything.
