I went to a seminar Fox gave in Poole in the UK when he was at his peak. After posing, he sat down and took questions. All the time during the questions and answers session, he held a stop watch in his hand. When the stopwatch indicated the session he was contracted for had ended, he got up and walked out. Just like that! My lasting impression of him was that he was an arrogant prick!!!!!

I too went to Fox seminar in the 80's. Guy was a gentleman and stayed after finishing for fans to have photos with him. That was in Edinburgh.

All those years ago I trained with Bertil in Del Martins Gym in Southall, he was so big so strong everyone was in aw of him, I saw him dumbbell press 200llbs in each hand for 6/8 reps it took 4 of us to feed them to him. It was at this point he went to the states I never saw him agian after that, he lived in Wembley at the time.

Nice video. I am 74 and still go to the gym regularly. Body building appealed to me from the time I was about 8. So, I watched your video with some eagerness. You are right about his arms, but BB is not just arms, or the Olympia would have a number of different Men at the top. Lee Priest for one. It was really off putting to hear race continually being brought up. Robby R and Sergio O were winners and some of my favorites. Brutal just could not make that leap to the big boys of the sport. What happened to him happened to many wht, latino, and blk B Builders of the time. And FYI- everyone seemed to know that you had to be friends with the Weiders if you were going to go anywhere. In spite of the racism, you mentioned I still liked the video. To many people even today play that card when they fall short.

Agree,but weirder don't like black men in the sport same as they don't like black people in F1.very insecure.
@hdvictoryford53293 ай бұрын
Disagree. His arms were way out of proportion to the rest of his body. His conditioning was off as well. Arnold with a 50 plus inch chest and a 34 waist carried just as much muscle and was much more aesthetic than Brutal. BF was a standout for his time, but not close to the best of his era, his placings support that fact.

And Arnold had sloping shoulders, That were dwarfed by his weird looking outsized chest, a blur for only TWO abs, poor tricep development compared to HIS OUTSIZED BICEPS and a boxed waist that was sitting atop mediocre quads that had no outer sweep and mediocre hamstrings. Arnold was one of the most disproportionate competitors to ever compete on a bodybuilding stage. Fox had better all around flow and definitely superior wheels.

What do I think of Bertils story ? Extremely inaccurate , and his name is FOX not FUCX as you try to pronounce it.
