Ultimate Jet sound is from inside my big turbo Veloster N. First true big turbo N car in the US. Custom made by Pross in South Korea. Made 411whp on 22psi I’ve run it up to 28psi tho. But the fkn sound of a little 2L with a big ass turbo .. it’s sublime. The turbo sound is all encompassing. Yea it’s stupid fast but the entire experience of it is so much more than just the speed Yes turbos are fkn rad

@@MichaelBertini I got to talk to them a little bit about rebuilding the turbos etc.. but I forgot to ask about what they do in the primary and if the thundermax was included, because me and my tuner were not sure why power vision doesn't work even with wide bands. @MichaelBertini2 жыл бұрын
On the M8 platform there isn't a need for one. By the way, I had asked the same question myself, when I was looking into buying the kit. lol
@paulcook52332 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelBertini Hi Michael, I debated weather to respond to this are not as I'm considering getting one too. Did anyone that you have come across give a reason why? The only thing I could come up with is due to the short intake track and only 8 lbs. of boost? The other thing that seams to be missing is a blow off valve, again maybe because of the low boost? I still think that you would be hard pressed to find anyone in the car turbo business say you can do this with out ether one of these items, as obviously cooling intake air helps and blow off valve will help with sudden deceleration of the turbine when the throttle is backed off.🧐
@MichaelBertini2 жыл бұрын
@@paulcook5233 Mine does have a blowoff valve on the intake side behind the plenum. I think the reason for the lack of the intercooler could be all of the points you mentioned, as their race bike which is running about double the boost has an intercooler. So you could be right.

Unfortunate they don't offer turbos for carbed bikes.
@MichaelBertini2 жыл бұрын
Turbo's on anything that's carb'ed is not easy an efficient from what I've heard. But I'm definitely no expert. If they did offer turbos for carbs I would get a Shovelhead. 😅🤘🏼
@bmxriderforlife12342 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelBertini turbos with carbs can be effienct it's just tuning can be a huge problem. And essentially you're best but is to get a pretty high end carb and have it modded. Like the zippers modded s&s or modded mikunis and such. They'd have to offer a multitude of carbs or a modding service. I believe they used to do it. If you can jet it right and get the right turbo that's set up for idle middle range and higher rpms and do the work meh. Fuel efficiency can be boosted slightly with the hp increase. Fuel injection would fo better but versus all motor carb and turbo carb the turbo will win out. Also likely cost less and be more reliable than all motor. But take a stock turbo kit from them. And add roughly anywhere from 1000 to 1300 for a carb and a few other bits. And remove the few efi bits. Also less likely to have customers blow up engines. But all bore with a turbo kit probably nets the best set up for hp power band and still revving out. And can help with keeping piston speed lower at regular driving conditions versus when you let it wide open. And with efi tuning is relatively easy and reliable. And gets uber fine control if you have aftermarket units. Versus oh hey this carbs too big for your specific motor or too small. And other complications. The actual carb part itself isn't exactly hard. Sizing and price aside.

@@MichaelBertini also shovelheads are nice. Might be worth the trouble lol. I'm doing a knucklehead in the future once I get into my union lol. Gonna have to hit up jesse james to make my heads though. If you're interested look uo drake knucklehead and petruzzi knuckleheads. 2 watercooled options from way back.
