Things I wish I knew before I went all in on my bike, I spent around ~5k on cam chest kit, exhaust, air cleaner, TMAX. For around ~1k more I could have just thrown a trask OG kit on for a lot more power. The upside is at least when I do put the trask on I'll have a bit more power and cooling thanks to the cam chest upgrades.

Agree with you on Shell. It's really the best. I wouldn't be on a budget though on a forced induction harley build. I'd totally do the valvetrain, drivetrain and of course internals all forged for durability so for me it would cost like $15K at least which I can't afford so for now my stage 2 will suffice. lol

Thoughts on Procharger vs Turbo bike ? I know the procharger is more complex. It’s driven off the primary side and more to go wrong. But it sounds still like a Harley and torque comes on immediately. Granted the little Garrett 26r small A/R or whatever size turbo is on there spools super fast
@MichaelBertini9 күн бұрын
@@geraldgoodiii6993 Procharger is the way to go if you don’t like heat. The turbo can get hot, which bothers some people. The sound of the turbo to me outweighs the cons of the heat, but for some it bothers them. With a Procharger, you’re not going to have that same heat level. Since these turbos are so small to begin with, a spool insanely fast, too. But I think the Prochargers are a great option, too.

@bmxriderforlife1234 Жыл бұрын
Actually it will add a bit of heat to the motor under certain conditions. That's why intervoolers exist for turbos. Compression of games causes heating. The external plumbing and turbo itself as well as appropriate airflow are what help it not add a ton of heat. But under the right circumstances it still can. This is why I'm building a watercooled engine for my bobber build. Watercooled knucklehead to be exact.
