We saw Jo in Sacramento at the punchline.... the last show he added on... went on like at least an hour over... then he offered the entire audience to stay after for a meet n greet. We've seen Jo multiple times between Denver and Sacramento and that particular night was the absolute BEST.

Just an fyi Bert, when you made 1000-1500 a weekend and first had kids, that is still A LOT more than most people who are starting families working normal jobs make. I'm 26 so most of my friends have started having kids the past couple of years, out of all of them only 1 is making more than 500 dollars a week before taxes are taken out..
@HTJ186 жыл бұрын
Devin B he said half goes to his manager, then food, hotel and air fare. So basically still less than 500 a week.
@devinb99856 жыл бұрын
@@HTJ18 and 500 a week after taxes, food, house, etc. Is a fuck ton less than that. I'm not trying to say that 50k a year before taxes is a lot of money, just that the majority of people who raise kids make significantly less than that.

That weed and schizophrenia thing freaks me out. My grandma had schizophrenia and I've felt myself go crazy on weed.
@andremaines6 жыл бұрын
@Toastcano718 you've never gotten panic attack insane paranoia level high? Those are the beginning symptoms of schizophrenia I witnessed them in my own grandmother and I would feel it come on when I smoked too much weed. Antisocial behavior, paranoia, strange non sequitur lines of thinking. That shit's not good for your mental health. Especially if you're already genetically predisposed to stuff like that. Everyone talks about how it's physically harmless but weed can seriously fuck your mind up. I've seen it happen and I've felt it firsthand
@sarahbosman16846 жыл бұрын
if you noticed he said its when your brain already has the gene so its not the weed you're already predisposed by having the gene n the weed MAY bring out symptoms
@rickeycallen6 жыл бұрын
Yeah. If you're not already genetically predisposed to the gene then no sweat, but if it runs in your family I wouldn't suggest partaking....#CBDLife
@andremaines6 жыл бұрын
@@sarahbosman1684 I don't know about that. I've seen it adversely affect people with no history of mental illness. I just think the effects are *_amplified_* if you have a genetic predisposition. The same way if you lift weights and have muscular genetics you'll put on muscle more quickly but it's not like you won't put on muscle if you don't have those genetics. Either way it still effects you. Does that make sense?
@sarahbosman16846 жыл бұрын
Andre Maines exactly look at joe he has NO signs yet has the genetic marker for schizophrenia so to tell the majority of people dont do it at all is just not right Bro tbh im stoned rn n if you feel that you yourself shouldnt smoke because it runs in your family its cool but others should go talk to a real fucking doctor not either of us tbh

I remember Jo Koy on Comic View and the Apollo. Funny dude and a hustler very inspiring to hear him put together his own shows and worked at Nordstrom Rack. Side note, Hey Bert, why do other comedians shit on Dane Cook so much??? Not saying you guys do, but other comedians?? Never understood that, that dude was pretty funny. I’m sure he’s still is. You should have Dane on next podcast. Great show Bert!!
@boxing63396 жыл бұрын
Los Angeles Print and Design I think it’s on the JRE podcast for soberoctober 2. Joe said comics hated eccentric comics who would go out there way to make a bit more funnier but he doesn’t go further than that
@Laprintanddesign6 жыл бұрын
@@boxing6339 I guess when you're the top dog like Dane was you get shit on by others comics. I get that, but it shows more insecurity of the person talking shit than when there are no valid reasons for shitting on another comic that other people find funny. Comedy is also subjective but would love to see Dane Cook on Berts show.

Cannabis does not feed THC. Schizophrenia is approximately 1% population when looked at just strictly having or not having used cannabis. It is a common misnomer based on quite a few individual factors such as the average age for schizophrenia to show compared to the average age a person first consumes cannabis which are essentially the same.
