Great video! I did more or less this tour yesterday. Unfortunately the Sokollu mosque was closed as well as the Binbirdirek cistern (it seems that all the big cisterns are closed due to covid). So instead I took a small walk around the wall and saw the ruins of the Bukoleon Palace. It was amazing.
@BeryIstanbulTips3 жыл бұрын
We couldn’t film the Bukoleon Palace because the best part of it was blocked by a white wall I guess from a current construction going on nearby 😅 We had that one as well and other 2 but maybe later we can show them as well. Keep enjoying the city! 🇹🇷

Thank you for your recommendations! I have been to most of those places 😅 I live in Istanbul since 5 years ago but just last year we started our channel 😀 We already have videos on Rumeli Hısarı, kız kulesi, balat, miniaturk, moda, haydarpasa (in general main area of Kadikoy). In Emirgan and Kemerburgaz we have family and we often go but due to the pandemic we haven’t had the chance for filming in many other places we had in mind and we are doing it slower. Arnavutköy is our next video actually 🤗 this week we are going there to film ❤️ Çengelköy we want but not now, the place is great for having nice breakfasts by the Bosphorus but now everything is closed so is pointless doing it now, we will wait and see if places open soon to go there, that’s also another thing that is stopping us 😅

If you are interested, I have that list on Thatch, you can sign in for free and then get the guides you need, the restaurant’s list has over 100 options also desserts to try and where to do so: share.thatch.co/W9QK That list also has a Google Maps link with each one of those restaurants to make it even easier to locate them 🎉

Which is the best place for shopping? Istanbul or Cappadocia or Kusadasi ?
@BeryIstanbulTips2 жыл бұрын
It depends what kind of souvenir you want to get, for example, if you like pottery then Cappadocia is the place for that. In Istanbul you can find more shops because is a big city but for more specific and unique things then the place where they come from. If you happen to be in Denizli where Pamukkale is you can get some nice Turkish towels made of linen of cotton (for hamams or beach) and olive oil soaps those are great gifts for women ❤️ although, you can also find good shops for that in Istanbul.

so the COVID retrictions are lifted? i see few people on the streets. Is reservation needed to see the underground Sisten under the carpet shop? I spend 3 days in Istable July of 2019, I got food poisoning for a day, so I didn't get to use my musuem pass before it expired. I stayed near the Blue Mosque, so I did walked all over the area. I love the TUrkish Riverea more than Istanbul
@BeryIstanbulTips3 жыл бұрын
Hi! No, they haven’t been lifted but remember that during the weekdays turkish citizens and residents are allowed to go out, lockdowns are only taking place during weekends where tourists can enjoy the streets for themselves. No reservation needed, if you plan to go alone or with maximum 2 more people that’s ok, but if you are going in a group of 5 or more then is better contacting the store so they can organize the visit, due to covid restrictions, they are limiting the access to it to few people at a time.
