Yeah, my neighbor's came off and me and someone ran over in the hurricane to grab them and bring them to our house. Red cross provided some but it was nowhere close to enough to cover it and the house is unlivable, especially for an elderly man.

@Dr.TruthTheChosenOne5 ай бұрын
@@monicaparker9464 Yes but if they were built to codes they would have sustain. My parents roof sustain hurricane Michael in Florida (160 mph winds)and it was built to the hurricane building codes. It was an older house too. In Florida … the new roof guidelines state that contractors must use a dual layer of underlayment for metal, asphalt shingle, slat, alate shingle, and mineral surfaced roll roofing. I know that Jamaica building codes are different. But they need to make sure when they build those homes the roofs are BUILT TO LAST AND ARE STURDY. In America it cost $30,000-40,000 USD on average to replace a roof which can be expensive to replace.

Excellent video as usual, bro. You have lifted the standards of bloggers. I believe most of these houses should do a modification along with the parish council and convert to slab. They might need to increase the size of the columns. If they want to do half slab and half metal roof, that would be fine but not totally metal roof. The government will be getting insurance money so they can use this money to help the needy and not to trick them. I hope this money will not be used for the budget short fall but for the people. We remember the covid money came but wasn't distributed. I heard Nigel Clarke said he will not draw down on all the money but I believe he will but use a part for the budget shortfall and where the rest will go then your guess would be like mine. I call upon you bloggers and especially you to keep us abreast on the activities of the insurance drawdown and where it is used. You can laize with Rolston Heyman.
