Can this be powered on from the remote? Perhaps while plugged in. It's going to go on topof a tall van

No I don’t think so…pretty old tech now

Thanks for the review; really helpful. I am a real estate photographer and want to branch out into video production and this looks perfect for me; the speed looks like it would work great from 90° corner pans of rooms. A lot of "budget" powered pan heads have a minimum of five minutes to complete the pan; which is way too long for real estate, I want each pan to be no more than 15-20 seconds and the MP-101 looks like it achieves that for a little over $100.

Jason Lewis I would actually look at the Syrp genie mini also, better panning tech

This clip was made long back. But what about Software control via smartphone and App? Is it something that is now available and not then and is it something that can be added to any older model?

Thanks for watching, sorry to say i sold this unit a few years back…so many options now that have remote connections.

how long is the remote cord? i'm trying to put this pan head on a 12ft. pole, is there an extended remote cord?
@mru022276006 жыл бұрын
Did you find the extended remote cord? How did this item work for you?

Fantastic review, thank you. This is a great product. Actually, I found the same head made by Hague, but looks identical to it (probably came out from the same factories under different brands). Can you recommend any alternatives for it ? Thanks.

I just got this and it's going to be great for our church service videos to pan left and right... but I'm finding that the slider for speed does nothing. No apparent change in speed whatsoever.
@BluePacificMedia4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching, it should work for the speed, perhaps the unit is faulty.

Im thinking about getting this for our church as well. Is there any delay in response as far as you can tell?
@BluePacificMedia4 жыл бұрын
Tony J Minter honestly I haven’t used it in quite a while, but i don’t recall there being any delay issues

@@ajminter11294 I just ordered a second one and the speed dial on the remote works really well on the second one. I'm going to try the remote on the first unit to see if it's just a bad remote on the first unit. But it works GREAT for church services.

Will this support a 7lbs Canon EOS70D with Sigma 50-500 lens? The specifications say it will support 6lbs, but will that 1 extra lbs make a difference?

Great review = is there a smaller option (overall size) on the market that has same quality and features for a handy cam unit ?

Thanks for watching, it's a little old hat now...I would look at the syrp genie 2 instead...bit more pricey but way better.
@erickbueza5 жыл бұрын
Syrp Genie is the better option. I had gone back reassessing my needs and comes down to a Slider and Pan combo. I’ll be checking around for the best that I can buy for under 400$. Would really appreciate it if you can recommend one. Thanks.

Informative video! Getting mine tomorrow to help out with my tech videos. Do you happen to know the aspect ratio of the letter boxing on this video? I'm not entirely happy with regular 16:9, I want to slap on some thin widescreen bars but not as big as 2.35:1. Thanks, Anmar

Can this be used as an auto pan on a slider. Similar to Edelkrone target module?
@gunfighterzero8 жыл бұрын
if you use non rechargeable lithium batteries, you will pick up 1.2 volts and it should match the speed of the AC adapter... just dont plug it in while those batteries are installed..

The video is helpful to some extent and I would have given you a like if you had included a demonstration pan/tilt shot, the absence of which is a significant shortcoming in a video reviewing a motorised pan/tilt tripod head.

2:47 watch the video then comment if you want to be detractive.
