This video shows the construction of a Fire and Forget, Sensor-Radar Homing seeker, Automatic Guided Missile that is Logic based.
The key elements of this design include
-Missile body
-Guidance sensor
-Guidance computing
-Warhead
-Missile stabilization
-Missile control surfaces
-Missile motor
-Launch platform
-Missile body of this design is just a ballast.
-Guidance sensors are directly mounted onto the ballast with a low-FOV, this set up is more favorable for Anti-Tank or attacking slower targets with higher precision and less likely chance to be distracted by debris. The sensors are also able to detect things more consistently because the 4 sensors are spun allowing them to detect at every angle possible (disregarding logic tick delays)
-Guidance computing, there is barely any computing on this missile, being that the sensors just directly communicate with the control thrusters.
-Warhead, a bomb
-Missile Stabilization, this uses overflow nive drag generator and spinning which helps stabilize the missile in-flight.
-Missile control surfaces, the design shown uses turning thrusters like a spaceship with nives, but it is possible to do control surfaces, thrust vectoring, reaction wheels, etc.
-Missile motor, a Nive, can use other things such as fans/flying blocks, etc.
-Launch platform, this is fairly important, as this missile has both "bullet drop" (where it forms a curve in altitude during its flight path (under the condition that the sensors are not correcting the missile for any targets), and also that the missile needs to point in the general direction of a target for the sensor's low FOV to pick up onto the target.
BIG ISSUE Alert!!!
the sensor missile gets distracted VERY easily by any physics objects, in theory it would target the largest object since that gets more detection time, but in practice if your map has physics objects, you're doomed, if the tank has like some kind of chaff, you're doomed, etc. (this also applies to SAMs, AAMs, etc, anything sensor guided)
