A rural village besieged by the cheeky Hive Mind? Noble Imperial Knights striding through the glades upholding the honour of the local Lord? Helms Deep? Yeah sure why not.
The Knights take to the field once more, Canis Rex leading up the team from a bunch of ugly monsters facing them down. Tom's ex tournament list has a few changes just for board presence, and the knowlege facing them on the field will be all sorts of horrible Tyranid Monsters! Voidmen at arms hold the line, a Knight Lancer strides out to wreak some tank shock vengence then a smattering of small Armigers in multiple sizes.
Talking of Monsters it's the Crusher Stampede! Dan takes all the big toys in today's matchup, trying to match the knights 1:1 with lashes, tails and big scary claws. Swamlord, Canifexes, Screamer Killers, Neurotyrant and Zoenthropes oh there's all sorts happening here. Norn Emissary leads it up with the Tyrannofex aiming for a one shot kill of something big! They're out to get the villagers, can this noble Gryphonicus lance? Let's find out.
As always, if you enjoy todays game and want to see more, hit us up with a subscribe here - / @weirdwolfgames . and drop a like and/or a comment if you spot anything we could improve with how we're playing the armies, any ideas for some silly games in the future, or just if you enjoyed the 90 minutes of mayhem! See you next week.

one thing ive seen alot of tyranid players forget is Shadow in the warp also gives a -1 for being in synapse which does stack with the neurotyrant making it -2 so the armiger facing the norn should have failed

About your debate over the Mawloc charging the Lancer but not Canis in order to pile in and fight Canis without charging him directly, the short answer is that no, it is not a legal move. The long answer is because of the following as per page 29, Charge Phase, of the rulebook: When you declare a charge, you must move closer to all declared charge targets, end within engagement range of all declared charge targets, but outside engagement range of all enemy units not declared as targets of that charge. Furthermore, if you CAN move into base to base with the enemy, then you MUST do so. This means the Mawloc would have to move into base to base with the Lancer while remaining outside of engagement range of Canis. In the fight phase, the Mawloc would then be unable to move into engagement range with Canis because, in order to make a pile in move, you must be able to end that move CLOSER to the closest enemy model. Since the Mawloc is already in base to base with the Lancer, it is impossible to move closer to the closest enemy model (the Lancer) and so the Mawloc cannot move.

This is great mate, Thankyou so much for clarifying! It’s thrown us off in a couple of games. Quick question, if a player miraculously tank shocks, or does mortal wounds on the charge killing target unit 1, could they then pile into the unit behind and fight in the fight phase? Thanks again for watching and for such a comprehensive rules spot!

@WeirdWolfGames assuming that was the closet unit, yes. A unit that charges in the charge phase gets to activate and fight in the fight phase. This would include pile-in moves to get closer to the closest enemy unit. So, in the event you charge and kill the opponent unit(s) you charged in the charge phase so that the charging unit is now unengaged, if there is a different enemy unit in range in the fight phase you can pile in and fight against that closest enemy unit.

It could also happen depending on how the opponent removes their casualties from the unit you charged. If they removed the closest models to the charging unit so that there was now space to move into the remnants of the original target of the charge and another unit, while following the requirements of the pile in move, it is theoretically possible. The thing to remember about all of these is that you have to move closer to the closest enemy model when you make these moves and move into base to base if possible.

Roger that! Forgive us if we get this wrong in an upcoming game, we've had to record a bunch due to having to move studios! Thanks for the clarification mate, very helpful.

If I may, next time you guys do a Pacific rim style fight, bring a minimum of 3 rupture tfexs 2 Exocrine and 2 Maleceptor. That way it's a more fair fight. Cheers!
