Gunline vs Gribblies! T'au Empire vs Tyranids Warhammer 40k Battle Report

Back at it with a Xenos Showdown, and the T'au Supremacy Suit returns at long last! Hordes of gribbly Tyranids face the mighty T'au Empire gunline - with a twist. The mission rule today means we can redeploy behind enemy lines throughout the game! Will the might of the advanced T'au weaponry win the day? Or will they succumb to the hungry hordes of chitinous fury. Let's find out.
In the green corner, the T'au; 3 units of crisis suits, 3 broadside and 3 units of stealth suits. 2 units of cheap kroot to hold up the nids, 2 units of Breachers with Cadre Fireblades oh and the Supremacy Suit. Strength 26 shots, surely that's enough to obliterate some monsters? Right?
Tyranids bring the Crusher Stampede with the Norn Emissary leading them up. The Parasite of Mortrex, 2 scremaer killers, a Tyrannofex, Old One eye with a friend, a Hive Tyrant, a Haruspex, a Mawloc (man that's a lot of monsters) backed up by little gaunts of all varieties. Oh and a Broodlord with some Genestealers. Aggressive, Monsters, rush and kill.
A special mission for today from the White Dwarf December 2024 magazine, stay tuned for the mission rules to know what on earth we're doing through the game! But it means we can deploy within 9 inches of enemies.. That could be brutal.....

22:13 - fast dice rolling cannot be used when your attacks inflict variable damage. Page 24 of the core rules, side panel: you must roll the damage one die at a time and resolve the damage. This would include the reroll. So, for those 3 attacks, you roll the first, see if it slays a model. If it does, great, move on. If not, you either reroll or not. See if the result now slays a model after the reroll, then move on to the next damage roll. Repeat this process until all damage is resolved or the unit is destroyed. You do not do as you did here where you roll all the dice and then reroll all the dice and then maximize the damage inflicted.

Crisis suits can’t take duplicates of drones only commanders can take duplicates so the maximum wounds should be 15
