If anything it will leave them with more questions. How does a 86 engine even last 100k km, much less survive that race?? Friend of mine had 3 explode and he didnt even drive them that hard, in Japan they drive them like its the last day of their lives, oil changes are only partial through dip-stick = Still lasts longer. Why :/

I Enjoyed this great video most all video on here , the Hot version 86 vs BRZ STI VS DK 86 battle and track performance. im big fan of Toyota and this 86. great to see its appreciation. only thing that is very disappointing was the end battle, was hoping they did have Honda Driver or somebody familiar and aggressive to really put the 86 to battle the S2000 and see epic showdown. of course there was complication unfortunately... maybe next.

Aren’t the early models (2013) the worst because of the whole valve spring conundrum?
@greentea_vsrg2 жыл бұрын
valve spring problem only affected a small amount of 2013’s. If the car has 100,000km its fine, the motor would’ve blown up long before that if it had the valve spring problem
In Japan people don’t need to drive long distances so 100,000km is quite a lot even though the cars will last for thousands of kilometres more.

At 16:05 did he kick the clutch because the car was understeering and he would have come off course, if he had not blocked the rear shortly? Edit: Ok he seems to do that a lot at corner exit... I have no idea.
@mikaelbihl-matias94623 жыл бұрын
He kicked the clutch to be in the power bend when getting back on the throttle. The engine might be weak in the low revs.
@kevin824992 жыл бұрын
@@mikaelbihl-matias9462 Just to remind this act wear the clutch much so don't do it frequently and yes FA20 is weak when lower than 4000rpm
@nnr33 жыл бұрын
Lol wtf everything that KW guy said was WRONG. Or maybe the subtitle was wrong on that part.
WHAT??? Why did DK tickle the clutch at 16:04 when he's at the last of the turn when the tires are struggling to find traction? I get he does it to ultimately regain traction but I'm perplexed as to how this works and I thought I knew a bit about cars. *EDIT just looked in the comments found out why. What an ingenious thing to do
@soundfun2 жыл бұрын
DK sometimes uses this technique when he drives a kind of low horse power cars. He kicked the clutch to be in the power bend when getting back on the throttle. The engine might be weak in the low revs. Once he also said that he won't use this technique when he drives his own cars because this is very bad for the clutch.

since when is 100k considered high mileage?
@MElekiaZ3 жыл бұрын
In japan 100.000k mileage is enought consider the size of the islands are less km than drive state to state in country like USA or Erope.
100,000km is not high mileage at all. 62k is still considered average if not below. My own BRZ has almost 150k miles, which is over 240,000km
@Miky95603 жыл бұрын
It's kinda high for average japanese market. Most of cars over there are not frequently used
@tougedriver83583 жыл бұрын
I believe they get taxed for driving a high mileage car on the road. That's why you see JDM engine being imported to USA with such low mileage. Correct me if I'm wrong.
