Beautiful locs and spirit per usual. New subscriber here. Question : I know that sometimes you will use rose water to moisturize and a lot of sisterloc newbies will use just that because it’s all they are allowed to use in the early stages. My question is, wouldn’t the water just evaporate? My understanding is that you use water to moisture , but must seal with something such as an oil. Sisterloc newbies often only use rose water and not allowed to use oil. So isn’t the water just evaporating and essentially the locs would still be dry? I am asking because I will be getting sisterlocs in April( nervous and excited )and thought , would the rose water really be doing anything?

Thank you so much! Sorry for the late response, but when I use rose water, I always seal in that moisture with a oil. Rose water wouldn’t be enough for me because my hair drinks it 2 secs 😂😂

At the very beginning yes. It’s so it will prevent the locs from slipping. The size is small so you’ll have to hold out on oils for a little while- only for sister locs
