Been using it for a while, the fact that can host Vst's makes it really powerfull, and it's pretty performant. The workflow is intuitive yet different from standard modular synths or daws such as Voltage Modular and VCV Rack. Is more straight forward. Also the discord community is very kind and helpful. I'm still discovering new things but this is powerfull, and really interesting to play with, i don't even notice and then suddenly i've spent hours just crafting the perfect sequence. Also if You don't know music theory all of the note generators can quantize to a certain scale so is pretty much a no brainer. I don't know if can output MIDI and cc but You can connect any MIDI controller into it. This and midinous are my more anticipated and favourite music software of this month

This program looks amazing and even for someone like me who is not into synths themselves but love the synth along with EDM type music I'd grab this. Although I will not be grabbing this program up until I can get the "Pro Version" next month. Something in size and scope liek this deserves it in my opinion and is not too much to ask. Hell, the fact all versions are the same is awesome! But, as a personal choice I want to do the $15 "Pro Version" to support such a wonderful program. I can play with these things for hours and sometimes get a little something good out of them if it's just a small sample that gets used later or by my friend who is really good at this stuff.

@@piousthepious looking good. My notes: It supports VST 1 2 and 3. It tries to guess where they are in settings. But you'll need to manually configure. It's not too hard. Second note. It's potential as software. This is the most crucial factor. *If a feature is added to use MIDI data for on/off toggles for nodes, this program is limitless, as you will be able to turn any MIDI sequence into your own makeshift timeline. Bespoke fulfills an ideal I have for miniature programming that's still powerful. With that, and a few other fixes, you can do whatever you want with nodes.*

FL Studio has a built in version of something something similar to this called Patcher. It even has some basic logic programming with If and IF-Else gates and random number generator. You can even use Patcher as a node within Patcher (i.e. use a previously made Patcher project as a node in another Patcher project for "code" reusability). It also has a UI creator so you can create a MIDI controllable UI to drive your custom Patcher instrument.

Looks like it's more VCV than a DAW but does look a tad less finicky to set up sounds as you don't have to worry about individual gates and voltages and such. And uf I can get it to run on my Surface Pro it would make it infinitely more useful than VCV.

If you want a pattern based daw, I once tried something by akai. Not sure of the name or the quality. Also zrythm might be something you can give a try. If on Linux, you can hack a workflow using an audio editor, an fx host and a midi editor( basically modular workflow using jack ). This option worked best for me.

@@AshnSilvercorp Mind if you update me with your findings? Currently running with cakewalk but I definitely want something better and free
@AshnSilvercorp3 жыл бұрын
@@piousthepious tried it today. Liking the idea so far, -but none of my VSTs worked yet. An example of a VST plugin is Vital synth (seriously, get that synth. It's good), but I'm wondering if I need a restart on my system to place VSTs in.- *_*3rd edit._*_ The settings are trying to scan VST 1, 2, and 3. It's confirmed it supports all 3 types. Now's just the bugs causing them not to load._ *4th edit: Yep. You need to configure it to find the right folders. It wasn't targeting the right ones. Fixed it and all of them allowed as VST plugins loaded. If anything, I want to suggest to the dev that every node should be able to be turned on or off by MIDI data. If that can happen, you can essentially turn a MIDI stack into your own timeline and trigger an entire set of notes in pattern sets. I really feel that the idea is solid and will work with a few more patch ups. It also passes the opens-in-under-10-seconds check. So there's no time wasted in opening a project. I wouldn't say it's gonna write your whole song yet, and the dev does say it's main purpose is jamming to sketch, but, a fully programmatic system can do anything. And if the node system gets polished even further and allows on/off triggering? This program has endless potential.
