I bought a kohler 8 years ago elongated high like in the video. it does not stay clean. What I noticed is the more water area in the bowl the wider the throat the cleaner they stay like Toto. I would get a taller one though

I always ( try ) to buy domestic where possible and invite the higher price for a quality made product in North America. Unfortunately, in todays worlds, its just a bunch of numbers - and the higher the numbers ( profits ) the better. The number one reason why everything is made in China, Mexico, or a so-called- third world country is MONEY or TAXES. These large corporations want to make money and to do that - find cheap labor, materials and less corporate taxes. These items are built to their - todays - specs to save them money but we are left with an inferior product that will keep the cycle going. If you compare the same item 35 or more years ago, they would be heavier and more durable and will last a life time. In this disposable world, the off-shore-manufacturers are just following the specs that the corporations have laid out even though they are capable of building anything to be over-spec'd to provide a longer service life item - but in the end, it will cost more to the consumer.
