Barely any of them die man plus all these bedding fish go right back to their beds man thanks to them being released in seconds, I don’t really like that they schedule these tournaments around smallmouth bedding season but this is the way to do it all around.

They should all catch and release and if they want to do photo ops they can have some bass in a tank when they go on stage they can always put a disposable tag on a tail or something so they can’t keep catching the same fish over a few days that disintegrates in the water after a week or something so people can’t keep recording the same fish

Day 1 and day 3 = Group A anglers (40 anglers) - weight from day 1 and day 3 are totalled to decide winner and Knockout qualifiers (anglers placed 21st to 40th are eliminated) Day 2 and day 4 = Group B anglers (40 anglers) - weight from day 2 and day 4 are totalled to decide winner and Knockout qualifiers (anglers placed 21st to 40th are eliminated) 2nd place to 20th place qualifiers from Group A and Group B go to Knockout round (Day 5) (38 anglers) Group A winner + Group B winner (highest 2-day weight) go straight to Championship round (Day 6) Top 8 anglers from Knockout go to Championship round (anglers placed 9th to 38th are eliminated) Championship round - 10 anglers - highest weight on the day wins tournament
