If you're a broke single person in a hurry who wants a quick cheap tasty meal it is hard to beat 60-second spaghetti and meatballs.
Ingredients
2 ounces spaghetti
6 Walmart precooked mini Italian meatballs
1 cup Walmart Great Value brand sauce
6 ounces water
1/2 stalk celery
1/4 onion
1 can mushrooms
parsley flakes
Italian seasoning
garlic
1 tablespoon oil or butter
Heat until the mini Hawkins 1.5 liter pressure cooker reaches high pressure and begins spitting steam then turn off the eat after 60 seconds. Open and eat in 15-20 minutes.
Add more water or less pasta next time if pasta is not well cooked. If sauce is too watery add less liquid next time.
I have made this twice since I recorded the video and it has become my favorite super quick meal. The sauce is very rich and the pasta has the right texture once it cools a tiny bit I was eating it super hot right out of the cooker in the video and after it cooled off a bit the texture firmed up a lot.
Experiment with your sauce, get the right time for your spaghetti and ensure you accurately measure the ingredients.

I'm shocked at myself! Not a thing to complain about with this dish as it seems pretty perfect, especially with those meatballs lined up in row. Yes, it does matter how it looks to some of us as it brings a smile to our face before we dig in.

@@RobbsHomemadeLife When I had limited everything, one helped me survive. Hard times when you work two jobs and have enough money for everything but food . I remember having nothing but about a pound of split peas ,a jar of wheat germ and a week to wait for a paycheck. I would race home from work at lunch time , and with a pressure cooke, I would make split pea soup, eat it and get back to work on time. The wheat germ was added for volume. I had been laid up with chemical pneumonia for weeks and things were pretty tight. That old pressure cooker made eating, with the time and food available, possible. I pray that food prices don’t cause people to go through that in the future.

I agree, there is a difference from wanting to eat certain foods and having to. I like to row for fun but if I was a fisherman from 150 years ago I think rowing would suck.

@@RobbsHomemadeLife I heard that! I like hewing wood and using hand planes, but it’s a long way to go for a board. That reminds me of a fellow I worked with 50 years ago. He had it rough at home and ended up living in a lumberyard. It was a dubious bit of charity. He earned his keep by custom cutting lumber and plywood to customers specs. With a freakin’ hand saw! All day every day. He had hands like vises and arms like steel cables. He received strength, baloney sandwiches, beer and cigarette money and blisters for his efforts.

I have to make a big pot of sauce so I can divide it up into 6 meals or so to put in the freezer. Then all i have to do is cook some pasta and make a piece of garlic toast. Then i can get out of cooking 6 more meals.

I like soft pasta. Not a big fan of "el dente" pasta. It tastes raw to me 😄

Its funny how much texture plays a part in food taste. I once ate some shark and it was such a weird texture I could not eat it.

The trivet next to your finished dish I'm thinking is really old. I have not seen one like that in decades. I love, love, love garlic. Again, sorry, I posted a commet under another person's. Sorry.

Interesting, but as a purist, I have to cook the pasta separately. Also, the smell of the sauce slow simmering in the kitchen is half the fun of spaghetti.

Dean I agree totally. My recipe is great and is perfect for certain situations but I love making sauce in a big skillet with hamburger and garlic and onions and mushrooms etc. plus there is the fun of getting the pasta at the perfect moment to stop cooking. I am getting hungry..😎
