Im 5’5 its easier for me to go full squat as my muscles are much closer to reflex back to position. I see tall ppl have more distant going down and up. Try widening the legs a little more and force your strength up like your about to jump allow that power momentum to carry the weight up like trying to do a 3 point throw.

Cool… but since Cronström Et Al found that knee valgus is not an independent injury risk factor, and for many athletes it’s a more efficient way to squat, this begs an important question… WHY “fix” knee cave?

Cool but the evidence that it's actually bad for you is weak at best It puts your adductors in a stronger position but is more stressful on the knees but stress isn't bad, a squat of any kind is stressful on the knees it just depends if you can handle it

Amen. No such thing as “perfect form” and we shouldn’t demonize deviations such as knee cave.

What’s bad about it? The knee cave? That does not automatically make a squat “bad”…

Because it's not bad if your knees can handle it An ass to grass squat is stressful on the knees but we know that if you'ce built up to that it's not bad If you look at most Olympic weighifters you'll get some knee cave on high effort lifts, and in some cases a fuck ton of knee cave From what I'm aware it's mostly because of the fact your adductors in a much stronger position

it's so hard to get good shoes with wide toe box for winter if you're not living in Europe or USA. damn😥 at least i will have sneakers.

Do these techniques also work for knee valgus on the descent? Specifically, on one side. It’s devastating on my right side during single leg exercises.

What if I don’t have fluttering knees but my feet are simply made *slightly* more outward than my knees. I don’t recall a single time my knees danced around when I squat yet the functional side of YT fitness makes me afraid of progressing for fear of injury. I’m positive my glute activation isn’t lacking either

When I try to do the tripod foot I feel my weight more on the outer sides of my feet, is that how its supposed to be? Because the natural position of feet has my ankles cave in a little
