Every year Emmett is nominated but doesn't win. I wonder why??? He is more than brilliant. The public has no idea where he needs to go within himself to produce that performance. Sad for him.

I wish they'd have chosen the "I lost everything and you did nothing" speech outside the holiday home from the Laters for Emmett. And Claire's scene after the bus crash, when she's sitting with Rhys as he's dying. God, she broke my heart, still breaks my heart when I watch those eps. *sobs* Aside from that? MY GOD, that is a BEAUTIFUL dress she's wearing. Just stunning. And Emmett in that grey Glenn Plaid? Hello, sexy! (Kieron's brown Glenn is stunning as well!)

this is the first year alan halsall has won any awards, it was a tough storyline and he's been on the soap for 15 years so it's about time his talent is recognised!

I think some people even ones that come on an Emmett fan channel didn't vote for him or voted against him people have made it know how much they dislike Brendan that's why I believe Emmett didn't win at first I thought it was because more people watch the other 3 soaps more but when I saw Claire had won and Mark and Dr B [Happy for them]I know it wasn't that. Hopefully Emmett will win the TV choice Award that's why it's important that Brendan/Emmett real fans vote let's win Emmett the award.

Delighted for Claire, so nice the right person won for once unlike best actor. I really don't understand how the vote didn't go Emmett's way when it did for Claire and Danny. Can't understand that at all. But no matter, Emmett will be collecting Baftas and Oscars one day anyway ;) Brilliant for Claire though, really is. She's deserved that for so long, best actress Hollyoaks ever had.

Jennie McAlpine? I'm sure she's very popular but not really best actress material. Some of the other women are much more talented IMHO. I'm happy for Alan Halsall but still think Emmett's body of work should have been recognised with an award.

Emmett is far too good an actor to be in a soap. Loved Brendan Brady but so glad he left.
