I have watched this video several times and it's still hard to fight back the tears. Todd you did an amazing job, not only with the video, but with my boys. I only hope it will inspire others to change a life forever. If so, remember the children are NOT in foster care because of something that they did, but because of what we have done to them as adults/parents. What makes a successful placement is honesty...Knowing your own strength- what you can or cannot handle. Thank you for capturing one of the most important days of my life.

The37344 The adoption process can vary based on the type of adoption, the age of the child and other factors. My adoption felt like it took no time. We were matched at the end of October and after a couple visits he moved in a week before Christmas. The adoption it self didn't happen until September because of change in caseworkers and missing paperwork. I was just happy that they were home! My other adoption was out of state and I had the same issue of change in caseworkers and missing paperwork.

I've watched this video several times over the last year during our adoption assessment, matching and placement of two beautiful siblings in the UK. It continues to inspire me: I discovered that there is not very much media regarding Black parents adopting Black children.
