I've been using this G3 (and just watched this video using it) for 2 months now and so far so good. It is my first time to try these new wave of Chinese mini PCs, but I don't really use it for heavy tasks, just browsing, watching KZbin, non-4k Netflix, and basic Office tasks. Also, mine was free of nasty Malware out of the box.

I've got two of these NucBox G3 machines, in use on occasion, in various capacities. With the onboard M.2 and an M.2 to USB adaptor, I can boot Windows 10, Windows 11, or ESXi. As you demonstrated, ESXi runs well on this machine. I'd suggest you disable trusted computing (TPM) for ESXi as ESXi can't use the TPM built into the machine due to a protocol issue. This is a common issue with non-server class machines. It's no big deal. ESXi is made possible by the onboard INTEL 2.5Gb NIC. Rare to find an Intel NIC on a mini PC. Not all of the many little machines out there today even have 2.5Gb. The biggest drawback to the NucBox G3 is that it tops out at 32GB RAM. If the machine took DDR5 instead of DDR4, at least it would max out at 48GB. With four efficiency cores, no performance cores and no hyperthreading, the G3 is not a gaming machine. But for utilitarian use in various situations, in a home lab, it's cheap and useful.

People need to watch these no name Chinese mini computers. Quite a few of them come preloaded with Malware! This is the same thing for the streaming boxes. Great deals however make sure due diligence is done before using any personal information.

but should I wait for Windows 12 instead of the windows 11? ... (Which is said to be an obscene win8 reboot?)
