Milton's V plugs don't require pulling back the lock to insert male end. Just push it in. Excellent design, plus are compatible with older styles. Just push 'em in.

Yes correct. I just noticed I mentioned in the video that you have to slide it back but you're definitely correct. Just push it in and it clicks! Thank you for watching! Don't forget to like and subscribe to help out my channel!

This happens to be the exact compressor I have and I had the same problem when I just fitted merlin high flow fittings on my air hose. Only to see it doesn't fit my stock coupler. So I assume I'll need to go get a new high flow coupler...
@jggarage18073 жыл бұрын
Yeah not sure what size is used on the Kobalt compressor so the only solution would be to replace that coupler.

@@jggarage1807 why did you decide to install high flow? I'm actually waiting on a moisture filter/regulator to show up in the mail because I've observed and seen others with the regulator going crazy when a tool is used. I'm thinking this thing has some locked potential.
@jggarage18073 жыл бұрын
First reason is that I didn't have any fittings at all to connect my hose or any tool and I came across these high flow fittings and I figured why not have them instead. Second, it future proofs me in a way with future tools that are air demanding. I plan to use this air compressor for automotive work using air impacts and such as well as possibly for painting. From what I learned, the more air flow you have, the better power and effectiveness your tools will have. I myself also need a moisture filter so that's next on my list! Also btw, thanks for watching and commenting on my video. I appreciate it as a small channel. Consider subscribing if you'd like to see more compressor content in the future.

Hi. Would these matter depending on the compressor? My 15 gallon compressor shows 5.0scfm @ 90psi
@jggarage18072 жыл бұрын
No the compressor shouldn't matter. Depending what fittings you have which usually the regular standard fittings can be limiting. These high flow ones can help deliver more air since the inner diameter is much wider. Also thanks for watching! Don't forget to like and subscribe! Let me know if you any more questions.

Fill a Tire with the M style then again with the V Style on a timer I bet you only gain a few seconds . I have the same Air compressor , 26 gallon I turned mine down to 125 psi short fill time less wear tear on the pump to fill to 150 psi . since my impact calls for 90 psi im still good . wish I had the Money to buy a 100 gallon tank with a 1 inch outlet 30 CFM 4 grand is out of my range .
@jggarage18072 жыл бұрын
Yes that may be correct but in my case, I didn't have any fittings at all and I came across this from some people here on KZbin where they showed their air tools performing better with this larger inner diameter fittings compared to the regular ones so I figured I might as well get these. How did you set it to 125psi max? I assume that's when the compressor tops filling? I agree, we all want a larger tank but in most cases, not everyone has the budget or space. Haha

@@jggarage1807 The on off switch has 2 screws under the cover. the one screw is for max psi turn off 150 psi I turned it out to shut off at 125 psi the turn on screw I backed off so it come on at 90 psi turn on 90 psi shut off 125 psi saves a lot of run time on the motor and piston did the same to my 20 year old craftsman , reason I got a New Compressor seen a air tank explode from rust . my old one runs fine just feel unsafe running it in my shop only run it outdoors now .

Are the fittings not a one hand operation like some of miltons air flow couplers, or do you need to slide the fitting down to connect things together with these?
@jggarage18072 жыл бұрын
So I just went to my garage to double check and I have my blow gun attached. When I slide down the fitting, the blow gun comes off and to connect it again, I just pushed the blow gun in. I didn't need to pull down the sleeve. It just clicks right in. I hope that helps.

@@jggarage1807 Did you ever get a different pressure regulator to combat the pressure drop that alot of people get with this?
@jggarage18072 жыл бұрын
@@Grainsauce yeah I've seen people replacing or modding their regulators but I have yet to use it for painting or with an impact to notice any significant pressure drop, so no I still have the original regulator.
