So I’ve been using ESR cases for a while now. I love the protection they provide, and also having the magnets on the back is really nice for charging on a MagSafe charger. For the AirPods Pro 2 I’m using a ESR Orbit Hybrid that is on Amazon $17. I like the protection, but I also prefer the less bulky and minimalistic cases. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your review. I did purchase The Valkit case for my son's new airpods. It actually was just delivered today. And I must say I am very impressed with the way it fits, and the way it locks. However my advice to anyone who purchases this is to replace the ring and the hook if you want to actually hang it from your backpack or anywhere. Preferred the Spigen Rugged armor, but that just happens to be a personal preference. Not to mention paired well with my phone cover which is also made by Spigen Rugged armor. The ESR Cyber does have a nice look as well.

After many hours of researching cases for the AirPods Pro 2, I decided on the ESR case as well. Not only is solid, with strong magnet lid, it’s the nicest looking case imo. The only con for me is that it won’t charge on an Apple Watch charger, which isn’t a big deal.

I’ve had The ESR case for a year, it has magnets meant to keep the case closed during a fall and it’s failed 100% of falls even on carpet. I almost lost my AirPods Pro’s yesterday because they flew out and it had closed when it fell looking like it had finally done its job despite the top part flying off. If I didn’t have to make a phone call shortly after I would have walked away from my AirPods that were laying on the ground

how is it the case’s fault for your airpods falling out of your pocket and you almost leaving them on the ground? and how do you not notice them falling out, they would make a sound when they hit the ground and you probably would have felt them slipping out

@@Zyxl. because it’s not doing its job as a protective case that’s advertised specifically to stay shut in a drop situation. The point wasn’t that I didn’t notice it, I noticed it but when I picked up the case it was closed and it wasn’t a ferocious 20 foot drop, it was literally from my pocket to the floor so I had assumed it did its job. I had to make a call right after and it turns out the AirPods had actually flown about 10 feet away onto the street. If not for that phone call I would be down a pricey set of earbuds. Also, I don’t live in the sticks, I live in one of if not the busiest city in the world. No amount of “Should have heard it” will compensate for the deafening noises around me and regardless it doesn’t matter because the case’s performance is not reliant on background noise being loud or quiet so that point is moot.

I picked up the ESR case the following week of the AirPods Pro 2 release. I have to say I do like the case and it is very sturdy however at times if the case does hit the ground the magnets will not always keep the case closed

I mean what we ultimately trying to protect is the AirPods so by putting a protective case on the case I’m assuming the case is pretty flimsy. That’s the only thing that makes logical sense to me.

@@sugarbear573 Actually, it has nothing to do with being flimsy as you put it, but rather keep the original case which has that clear top protected from yellowing and scratches. Like anything else it would just be a matter of time before the Factory case would look bad. Carrying in your pocket with cars keys etc. Hopefully this will help with your logical sense thingy.

That military case is awesome! Answers the issue you mentioned, something I thought I was the only one who noticed. My actual edc case is the Catalyst Waterproof case. Apple sells them in stores and online, and their the best in design for security.

You didn’t mention how the functional or convenient the loop hole on the side of the ESR case is. Can it be used with a carbiner?

Most cases don’t even thin ones . You would not want to charge using it anyway that is a very slow charge. The esr has magnets which is only case to charge on an upright charger.

Yeah, the full size MagSafe will work, but none worked for me on the Apple Watch charger.

All these are hopeless cases. Please don’t fall for these reviews. He should use each case for a month and I bet he will not say even one of them is good. I have used a lot of them. Absolute waste of money all of them. The adhesive for the top side comes off eventually. The silicone ones are especially just 3rd grade.

ESR Case is a beast! The magnets that keep the lid from opening are very strong. No way will it open if dropped. I love the quality and build. You can be confident that your investment is well protected. I love it!❤

I know that he said that the ESR works with wireless charging, does it also still support the watch charging method? I've come across several that said no to that but yes to other wireless charging methods.

@@irishviking6444 Hey, I have it myself and I have been using Apple Watch charger to charge it. A little note though, when I use the stainless steel version of the Watch charger, the magnetic is not strong enough to charge it. But when I use the normal plastic Apple Watch charger cable that comes with the aluminium version, it can charge just fine. Another note is to gentle set the AirPods down and let the magnetic suck it. My point here is that be gentle and make sure the orange light comes on and the speaker sounds “ting” before walking away. Otherwise if you just throw it on there it might not line up with the magnet and therefore not charging. Hope this help you!

You recommend the ESR Case, but you fail to mention it has no holes on the bottom for the speaker. SHAME & you hate silicone and 2/3 of the cases you show are silicone. SIGH!!!! + reviews should include “does it fit in your coin pocket”

I don’t know what case you have but the ESR case does have holes on the bottom to match the AirPod Pro 2 speakers.

But you can’t charge it on the Apple Watch adapter since it’s too thick which is a big minus for me
