that kind of thing is honestly why Al Michaels is so good. You can tell that he's just watching the game and reacting like you are. You can feel his emotions build and progress throughout the play. It makes every play more exciting and engaging, especially plays like breakaway runs. On the play you mentioned Joe Buck would be like "Favre....pass is.........no signal yet......"

Al Michaels-- probably my favorite of all time NFL announcers. He is the last link to my association of NFL on TV when I started watching as a kid. My favorite call which isn't on here was from 2014, Packers vs Bears, the Sunday Night Massacre, where the Packers would destroy the Bears at Lambeau 55-14 in a laugher. Prior to that game and afterwards I had NEVER seen a blowout like what was displayed that night. It's one thing to just to get beat and have a bad game (like the 2012 game vs the Titans that ended 55-3), it's another to be like the Bears and basically up and quit, a pick 6, a blocked punt where Jarrett Boykin kicked the ball before the punter, and on the flipside highlight reel plays including Cobb's 1 handed catch, Lacy's 56 yard screen pass for a TD, and Jordy's 2 40+ yard TD catches. At one point in the game though, Casey Heyward would intercept Jay Cutler on a doinked pass for 82 yards (the throw bounced off of Kyle Long's helmet), and Al's call just made my sides hurt because it was just that kind of night. His call, "And that's uh, intercepted, by Casey Heyward, and Heyward out in front and able to stay in bounds, aaaaaaaand, a few more for the Green Bay Packers, 82 yards.". Just the way he said it and how dejected Jay Cutler was after the play was just too damn funny. I will never forget that night as long as I'll live, that game broke Jay Cutler.
