@seamus19566 жыл бұрын
Ed Hochuli was consistently rated one of the top refs in the league over the course of his 28 year career - 2 Super Bowls, multiple playoff games, and at least one Pro Bowl to his credit. He was extremely well respected. But since you don’t like him, you’ll be happy to know that he officially retired from active football in March. Maybe you’ll like his replacement better. Who’s that, you ask? Why, none other than his son, Shawn Hochuli! 😉

Today's 20/30-somethings have been raised to always have some very-fast moving graphics or game in front of their eyeballs. Because of this, they think NFL football is too slow. The true cause, is the generational lack of patience your group suffers from.
@AshPCGaming7 жыл бұрын
Robert Jensen Football games do get boring and slow if nothing exciting is happening...
@robertjensen10487 жыл бұрын
Have you ever asked yourself, "Why do I get bored if nothing exciting is happening?" It has to do with the way people are raised and conditioned. If you were raised on a simple farm in the Midwest, without any electronics, TV, phones, etc, your brain would be wired very differently. You wouldn't have a psychological "need" for things to move fast, to have constant action and stimulation. Of course, for most of us raised in busier cities and with the electronics, we have been wired differently. But, that doesn't make this condition un-fixable. There are a few ways to become more content with less excitement. One of the best ways, is to regularly get away from people and noise, if only for a few hours. Turn off the phone. Listen to the silence, to the breeze, to the birds. It's a great way to de-stress, and to realize what you are missing while you're in a normal, every-day life.

Disagree. Guys like Ed are in love with the review process and of their own camera time. His long explanations aren't cute, they're annoying. Just state the offender and the penalty and get the hell off the stage.
@briane173 Жыл бұрын
@@biggobot3253What's so bad about a ref wanting to get the call right? There's things Hochuli could see that might have escaped the attention of the millions of fans watching and even the dudes in the booth, who have all the camera angles. He had one call on a punt that was exceptionally complex and he knew how to apply the rule when even the booth announcers overlooked it. So I have no problem with an explanation, especially if a call is getting reversed or a flag is picked up.
