Suggestion, start with the features of the product, then at the end of the review talk about your use case specific gripes/nitpicks. Most people will install the M.2 drives and never need to access them again until they fail. So not an issue. The big issue with the board that I can see is the total lack of pcie x1 slots that add in cards would need to use. Remember your use case (i.e. ease of test benching use) is not a normal one and should not factor in a review. I know reviewers forget that how they use these products is niche and has no place in a review viewed by people just looking to either confirm or steer away from buy a certain product.

You know you can use a 16x slot for 1x cards right? Unless you have a massive GPU it should work okay. I did think about the features - I kinda did the important ones at 2:17 , then repeated in more detail at the end because that's where the revelation is about the Taichi Lite - I didn't want to do that at the start because the rest of the video would have been pointless :) As for the M.2 - it's not an issue with this board because you have the PCIe 5 slot - can appreciate it's not much of an issue on other boards either for reasons you mentioned but on this board it's most definitely a non issue because you have that easily accessible third slot.
@jokingtiger9 ай бұрын
@@CrazyTechLab Yes I do, but what if you need more than one expansion card? Also, on most other boards the M.2 slots are blocked by the graphics card. My main point was to do the reviews, knowing that most people do not assemble and disassemble their computers often if ever. I am an IT tech and have firsthand experience with this. Just constructive criticism.

X670E Taichi is the heaviest motherboard I've ever held. It's so big and thick and just feels so well built and premium. Got it used but in perfect working condition for 285$. Intel WLAN instead of Mediatek which most other AM5 boards use is so much more reliable and gets better signal. Clear CMOS button is great for playing with memory when you need it, having power/reset on the board is also super handy for initial testing. M.2 ports don't share bandwidth with anything so you can run all 4 NVME at rated speed. On-board audio is the best on any motherboard. 2x USB4 which are also capable of display out. God I love this board. B650E lite offers most of the features and can be found new around or under 250$, so that's a super solid option as well.

You are wrong but not complete - you just did not get the real difference here. This is just one level higher as your board - which is a fine board but for a different, lower configuration. Which is absolute ok - why you should pay money for something you do not use or implement? Read the comment before yours - this is a board for people installing 32-64g memory in and for sure a high end gfx card for 500 bucks on the low end. If you want/need 64g memory you do want high specs on your motherboard. This board has a fine mix of current specs and high end specs. Good example is the one PCIe 4.0x16 and one PCIe 5.0x16. I think is will build me now a 7800x3d rack with it, including a 4070 Ti i had the chance ot get for low from a friend. The idea is that i can then perhaps in 3 years update this build with a 9950x3d or something like it. The board can run memory up to 7600 when i read it right, so i can even upgrade memory then. The real deal for me are the M.2 options. There are some crazy high end SSD for that, with read/write specs from 10k to 15k. They are expensive atm but in 2-3 years that will be the standard. I know that this work because i did the same with my 2 racks before. I usually run them up to 8-10 years. And they perform! I write this on my last build. Its a 6700k with as ASrock Z1 80 I7 Fatal1ty board and a simple 1070. I still can run most games with somewhat lowered settings. What is now outdated is the gfx card of course, the 6700k is still a beast single core but outdated in terms of cores and memory cache. And i hit the PCI & M.2 limits some years ago. I build that thing 2016! The point is this: Yes, you spend a bit more with racks build around this kind of boards. But not serious more. And if you select the hardware around it right you get a system which can be upgraded for usually at last 5 years and will hold the line for some years more. In the end it pays out, thats just my experience. More money spend usually do not give you any edge beside the better performance which is usually only noticable when you measure it.
